Maybe boerrigter could have come on a wee bit earlier give him a shot at that constant guy who is one of the worst players I've ever seen. Matthews ran him ragged a shame he couldn't get his crossing right tonight otherwise we probably would have been coming away with 3 points.

Sammy was really disappointing tonight I thought, he was obviously instructed to play a bit deeper, but there was times he could have had a proper run at their defence he was also too slow on the ball.

53% to 47% in their favour apparently.

    Positives:
Central defense pairing of Amrbose and VVD was EXCELLENT
Brown and Mulgrew held it down in the midfield without Vic
Matthews shows his pace can be useful in attack
    Kept the ball QUITE well

    Negatives:
    Wasteful crosses
    Hardly created anything
Sammy was useless and we need him to perform good if we want to do well
Need to do more with the ball and we have nothing up top

This is as good as it gets while we're in the SPL mate, we just need to face facts.

I agree mate but at the end of the day i'd rather concede early than late!
It's just in Celtic's nature in Europe to come so near and yet so far. I * wish we had a better attitude, but then ironically we wouldn't be nearly as popular worldwide and with neutrals if we were as arrogant as the true top sides.

    Apology accepted.

Going by the quality of the chance. It was there for the taking. They created the better chances and got the lucky break on set pieces whereas we didn't. To say we dominated... well... "you'd be wrong to say that."

C,mon thats NEVER going to happen. how the * do you expect us to compete with teams that pay £80m for Bale and £45m for neyhair...and then 3 days later were playing in front of 4000 up in the artic circle which is Dingwall :87:

Sharper finishing tonight and we'd have won. I'm proud of the team.

Probably the only negative I can pick out of tonight's performance was that our crossing was * woeful 80% of the time. Izzy's crossing was decent but Lustig and Matthews? * me it was horrible to watch.

    Fantasyland.

Also, in response to one of those points, we beat Barca last year... :97:

I know. It is ridiculous. I said it before but this is our limit as long as we're in the SPL. Doesn't get any better than this.

Come on Platini, hurry up and invite us to your Oil-Sky-Super-Fantasy-World-Power-League, played on a rotational basis between all of Europe's 20 biggest clubs in all the biggest cities and on a rooftop pitch at the pinnacle of the Burj Dubai.

It was closer to not hitting the bar than it was to going in is easily the best description I've heard of a shot hitting the bar yet.

I haven't laughed as much since reading US Soccer Guy on Twitter. It was a close goalstrike in the final shot third but ultimately the red and blackcaps steal the victory shield from defeat.

Thought izzys was poor, although he didnt really have many.ost of our attacking came down the right. The only cross I can recall with a bit of quality was stokes' which have sammy a chance to attack the ball and then it fell to Mulgrew. Even that wasnt a cross where you'd say he put it on a plate, or created a half decent chance from. Our final ball tonight was really, really poor.

I know. I wish we were in a better league, if we got * 60 million from sky just for being there, imagine how well we would do. It sickens me to be honest, we are in such a * league, * co-efficients etc. * hate that we lose our best players to *, pishy English clubs.

Nit picking but i thought at the time he should have put Biton on instead of Pukki and had extra protection for the defence and settle with a draw.

Ofcourse you would I would rather have been pumped than lose 1-0 2-0 like that its the same as last year Juve game was never a 3-0 gameI find myself saying this for a second time in under a year.... The game we love * sucks at times you should have seen my face when the first went in! Well u could picture it at the second! I've shrugged it off a bit now!

And the reason I've shrugged it off is because how many times
Over the years has anybody sat there at half time and thought ill take milans high shots and wasted over the top balls all night and actually felt like we could go not away with just one but 3 points!

This makes me immensely proud that 2 years ago in the Europa we were losing goals in the first 2 mins! We have come a long way and that's clear to see we have lost two key players that I've always thought if we kept and added to team we could be talking about will we finish first or second and I strongly believe this

Like a bunch of unsophisticated * from the Glasgow area with holes in their teeth could never beat Inter Milan in the European Cup final?
I know AT THIS POINT IN TIME we cannot compete with the megamoney teams, but we'll certainly never do anything if we don't have ambition.
And we definitely won't if we continue to act like we have a on and off pitch glass ceiling.

We have built so much under Lennon, "the thunder" has come back to Parkhead, so now we let it wane and fall away to nothing again?
I believe if we keep improving and progressing, investing in our youth academy and getting better each year then we can win a European trophy again within a decade. I'm sure some within Paradise (namely Lennon) share that belief. But sadly too many of our own are happy to just accept mediocrity with the odd night of euphoria.

And btw, if we had 85 million to spend, we would have got a * of a lot more for our money than Bale.

Also, this post is on page 67. Now is that * destiny for you * or what!
