    No it wasn't.

We were better than Milan in the San Siro. That isn't silly, that is a fact.

They had better chances before the 80th minute. Even the Balotelli shot was the best chance of the match until Muntari's header, which was a blown sitter. A much better chance than Stokes'.

It's definitely not a fact. We were as good as them in all areas of the park except for in front of goals, if we were better than them we would have scored. How many clear cut chances did we actually create?

I'm desperate to see the game so can't really comment; but the statistics suggest we weren't the better side. They had more possession, more shots, more shots on target etc.

I thought possession was about 50/50, with us having it in their end more, but with them being more purposeful in the final third.

Thought we were terrific tonight, I'm so proud of the way we at times dictated play and took the game to them. Agree that our play in the final 3rd was disappointing, but I never expected to pick up anything at the San Siro.

I think we need to remember who we are up against, AC Milan might not be as strong as they were, but they are no mugs. I'm still hoping for 3rd place this year, excellent performance tonight.

How many clear cut chances did they create or score?

Football, like life, isn't as simple as saying 'we won ergo we are better' if that were the case Barcelona would be going for the 6th or 7th Champions League in a row.

The only clear cut chance of the match from the run of play was Milan's.

Yes it was - how can you possibly label it anything different? We lost, therefore it was a failure. I know that Milan fan was being a * but he was right - we will probably never get a better chance to beat an AC Milan side. They are at their lowest ebb for years, have a number of top players out injured, we played much better than them for 70 minutes, and yet - they still * won.

Just like I knew they would. It's sickening and I have to laugh or else I'd cry at the disgusting predictability of it.

I just have higher ambitions than our current level and truly believe we have the potential to be a top European side again. Not just a pot 3 or 4 side who win at home and lose away. Not just a side constantly patronised for their "plucky" and "brave" performances. Not just a side who go away, play brilliantly, miss all their chances and get done by "bad luck".

But a side who win and dominate every game. I am very happy with our progress under Lennon but the point is for it to be true progress it has to continue. We cannot tread water and just become an Arsenal or, dare I say, an AC Milan.

    Just cant get enough
Horrible... Sitting watching it and as the game wore on you could see that with all the possession and space we got.. All the times they just gave us the ball back. We just didn't have the quality to break them down. When you add that to the fact we have the worst luck in world football at times, you could see it coming a mile off!

Celtic were, by far and away, the better football team tonight.

    Lies, damned lies, and statistics.

Most shots cleared the slopes of the San Siro though mate.

We had more possesion until the last 5 mins when they kept the ball and upped their share.

For huge amounts of the game we had them penned in their box. It was reminiscent of Barca against us.

We were set up ultimately to keep them out though.

On paper it was an attacking team but a lot of those players were tried and trusted to keep it tight away from home, and we done that for a long time.

Although the likes of Sammy and Commons weren't having much of an impact offensively in the second half they had a job to do defensively and it was working perfectly.

The Pukki substitution could maybe have come 5/10 minutes earlier as that wouldn't have messed up our defensive formation too much but it's a minor observation.

We were minutes from securing a point in the San Siro, that can't be forgotten, and but for bad luck then losing our discipline a little after the first goal then that is what would have happened.

They missed a few sitters to be fair. Ballotelli volleyed straight at Forster, another guy headered over the bar from about 8 yards. We didn't create anything like they did.

Sammy was so unlucky with his effort, but that's the only time I remember really scaring their keeper. Stokes free kick as well but that wasn't a clear cut chance that was just a great effort from distance.

Agree with quite a lot of what you say, however we have good strikers in Stokes, Pukki and Balde, yet no striker in the world is going to be effective with little or no service coming from the midfield as was the case tonight. Stokes had to create all his own chances that tells the story, and Samaras hardly came away from the half way line or far left so that left Stokes stuck up on top on his own.We were rotten in the final third, and their goalkeeper had little or nothing to do, that tells you another story. Still over the piece we were unlucky not to take a point or even all three, just the luck of the draw on the night, this was definitely not a Juventus defeat, just plain bad luck.
