Cannot believe I`m gutted we never beat Milan tonight. Would have been delighted with a point but if we had just a bit more quality in the attacking positions,it could have been so different. Hate being critical after the event but we wasted good crossing positions with poor deliveries and individual decision making in good situations let us down.

I don`t want to end on a negative; I was worried about this group we got but I`m more than encouraged by tonights efforts.

 

Just one thing: when something keeps happening, it's not luck or a coincidence.
We are a Class B European side and it is so painfully obvious what we need and what we are lacking to be a Class A team.

A striker. Just one * striker tonight would have won us that game. The amount of posession and the number of chances we had tonight was tragic. Just like the Juve games.

It keeps happening. We need to spend serious money on one quality player. Especially after losing Hooper, I would have loved to have seen us buy Emenike or Finnbogason this summer. We're never gonna afford the Messi's or Falcao's but we can buy good players if we ever show any fecking ambition.

We were brilliant in defence and midfield tonight but once again in Europe the final third let us down.

 

Only players of quality you were missing were Montolivio and Kaka.

The Bhoys played well tonight. Really happy with the performance. I have never understood how someone with a love for football can support an Italian team.

 

Being a class B European team as you put it is still massive improvement though to what we were only 3 or 4 years ago.
