Champions League: AC Milan vs CELTIC, 18th September 19:45 kick off, live on SS2

For a bit of perspective, we have come away from Milan and Barca in the last year gutted with the result. That shows how far this team has come. We need to pick ourselves up, work on that final ball and get some results in this group,

I think you can be very proud of your team tonight.

They managed to scrape a result against a much better side.

 

Funny that because I thought Milan were better than the mediocre team I watched tonight. That's was the worst Milan team I've seen for years.

Ever heard the saying don't count your chickens before the eggs have hatched? Long way to go before 3rd place is decided. I wouldn't put money on it not being AC taking 3rd spot. Dismiss us at your own peril.

Do you need reminded of what happened the last time you came to Celtic Park?

 

Bottom impossible with team like Ajax And Celtic we cannot finish last. It's mainly you who will try to not finish last:smiley-laughing002:. And without 5 of our best players you are not able to beat us. It says all. Too weak.

 

The same criticism can be applied to your team as well. Milan are actually regressing. How you can be happy with that team is beyond me. You do realise it took a deflected goal and a player diving to win a freekick that got you your win against a team with a fraction of your budget? If I were you, I'd maybe worry about how you are going to get out of the group than try and identify Celtic's problems. Is that 6 wins in 18 at home for AC in the Champions League? On that performance, it shows.

 

I was bitterly disappointed by this. One of the biggest clubs in the world and Milan's fans atmosphere was dreadful tonight. A few hundred of us could be heard over 40,000 of them all night.

I didn't say they were better. Better or worse are useless terms tonight. What I saw was much better marking. Bad marking makes the crossing look better than it is. There's a fairly wide gulf between Mexes and Zapata and Hearts. And since we never had many late runs from the midfield, they only had to worry about one, maybe two players, every time. It was easy for them. The best crossing in the world isn't going to make Stokes beat them in the air.

I actually thought they played Sammy incredibly well... they gave Matthews tons of room but none to Sammy. I think he only had one run that we're used to seeing. Again, not a coincidence. They would rather have Matthews crossing to Stokes than Sammy cutting in and going full steam toward the penalty area. We could have used with an aerial presence that would have challenged Mexes and Zapata more as well as a wider threat on the left to pull Nocerino farther out.

 

Aye and you'l be telling us next that Sylvio Berlusconi is a Total model professional ?

 

Where do you think we are weak? I assume you mean up front and we lack creativity. We bossed midfield and our defence was solid. Your goals were both very lucky and one a result of Balotelli cheating. We are still, at this level, a young (ish) team and we are showing signs of improvement. A few years ago we would have been almost happy to only lose 2-0, now, we are devasted to as we know we were the better side. Maybe you should also give your own team a little bit of credit for making it difficult for us by using your solid defence and holding midfielders.

Tonight reminded me of one of those SPL games, in which we control the game, only to lose to a goal against the run of play to some pish team.

 

For the 187897997 we were without 5 of your best players. Even with them we don't play very good si imagine if you are without them. And i'm not very proud of my team tonight . But with this very bad coach, it's impossible to play well. Even the year with Ibra our game was ugly to watch.

 

I knew it would be like that..


I hope Barcelona put fives and sixes past these lot,we'll see the gulf in class then..
