We were brilliant tonight, we stood toe to toe with them and matched them and at times we even outplayed them. It just always seems like we never get the luck at this level unlike the opposition usually do.

Theres alot of positives to take from this.

I havent seen it but according to the guys on the radio Balotelli conned the ref. Basically swung an elbow at Brown then hit the ground.

Typical of our luck. Dodgy deflection and a mystery free kick. We should have scored a couple and that * us in the end.

I'm not going to post anything else because I'm so * angry and disappointed.

I saw the edge of the replay and was convinced he dived. Would prefer to see it properly though before making a judgement

It's always blamed on the strikers though, but it's Commons needs to be better in a match like this. There was also a point right at about 80' where Pukki made a brilliant run to break the offside trap right past the midfield point but Brown didn't see it. If he had, Pukki would have been through.

The two of them were at it. A yellow card each and move on. Balotelli swings at Brown, Brown lifts an arm and Balotelli decks it. Conned the ref, it was cute

    THE GOOD:
Efe Ambrose, Adam Matthews, midfield controlled large parts of the game. Ability to hold possession for long periods, something we haven't done.
Lennon makes subs which weren't in the last ten minutes.

    THE BAD:
PLAYING PASS THE PARCEL AROUND THE HALFWAY LINE AND FINAL THIRD for 10 minutes and then losing possession. Frustrating viewing.
Kris Commons trying to be a hero.
1 out of about 15 crosses won today, very poor.

    THE UGLY:
    Stinking goals to lose.

Of course they were lucky, they got two good bounces of the ball tonight. But it's not within the realm of the impossible. I'm just saying neither side deserved anything.

Put it this way - if we deserved to win tonight then we've deserved to lose countless times over the past years in the Champions League.
