I hate the Italian way of playing football,it's * anti football and the * always get the breaks.

 

Really disheartened but that's football and I'm still confident we can get 2nd in this group.

 

I think I said after about 60 minutes that we were going to kick ourselves if we lost this and that is still how I feel.

We kept our shape well. We pressed well. We stifled their attacks well and we bullied the midfield well. But our final ball was rotten are we still have nothing up front. Despite so many positives we still never really tested their keeper and we never took our half chances. That is the biggest disappointment but at the same thing it is something we already knew all about.

Tonight just confirms what we already knew - we needed a creative midfielder and we needed a goal scorer.

sorry i spotted the milan flag when they panned up to one of the stands....not a surprise eh we fly st pauli flags. we DONT deserve this but we will learn from tonight that the game lasts 95 mins and were playing against the biggest fly-men cheats in the world the italians.

 

Gotta keep perspective. When anaylsing this group and the fixtures prior to the tournament commencing, Neil would've been noting which games we'd take points from, and which games we'd be lucky.

We were not favourites in any way for this game, and before the game would've been happy with just a point. If we maintain our game in the fixtures to come, we'll accumulate a respectable amount of points and progress.

 

Yeah, we subbed off the players who were causiing them problems and the one guy who'd have gave them a problem physically with his height too, was Balde. We should have mugged them before they put on the the dutch boy and Robinho.

Outdone with the subs. Still Ajax and Barca will probably have lots of fun playing against this Milan team. Balotelli's a diving *. Should never have been a free kick for the second and the first was an absolute fluke, from arguably their shitest player.

I can see Lenny brought off guys who were tired, but it oopened it up for their * manager to make the changes, bringing on the guys who should've started the game. A missed opportunity for sure, but we can still be proud of the performance.

 

Glorious failures yet again

 

Personally this we missed out in finbogasson....him as a line striker I'd have faith in.

Also final ball was terrible. And Sammy never turned up tonight.

 

Totally did not deserve to lose this game, especially by two goals. Absolutely gutting.

 

I thought our defenders were excellent tonight. Ambrose and Big * looking good in the middle. Lustig and Izzy ran their arses off too.

 

Oh well.

manager started with a full back in right mid whos crossing and running off the park was amateurish

lucky itialian * as usual but know what we deserved it with them tactics, we also made countless mistakes rushing in the final 3rd when there was no need to, they were there for the taking and i think we gave them far too much respect and its cost us, they were utter * and a cant believe they have beat us
