We sold our best striker, our best midfielder and our best centre half.

You have; Balotelli, Robinho, Kaka, Matri, Al Sharrawy, Pazzini and Niang as options up front. You are not going to get any sympathy off Celtic fans for having a few players injured :bbpd:

Half of those players in that list are injured.

I'm not looking for your sympathy or anything of the sort, just saying that it won't be a shock to me if we draw/lose against you. And some of you guys here are still saying you expect to lose and would bite someone's hand off for a draw? I think it's just selling yourself short so that expectations aren't too high.

A famous 2-1 win is on the cards. I can feel it!

Of course I also felt we'd beat Juventus 3-0 in the first leg last season...:54:

    I'll get my coat.

Milan are favourites to win the match, even with the injuries you still have a vast array of talent getting paid multiple times more than our players. If we take anything from the game it will have been an upset - regardless of who is injured.

What we pay them is irrelevant. We were paying Traore 1.2m a year which amounts to 2.4m per year for the club due to taxes, a player who later on everyone admitted they knew nothing about and who was so bad no one wanted him even when we offered him for free.

Agreed that we still have the better squad and the bigger names, the bigger budget, etc. But as it's been said countless times here the game is not played on paper and personally I feel you've got as much chance as us to get something out of this.

I myself think that it will end in a draw

Not when you are discussing who is favourite and who isn't.

If we take points we will have earned them against a quality side not a team of inexperienced youngsters forced to play because half the team is injured.

    ........................forster.........................
    Lustig......virgil.........mulgrew.....izzy

    ..................brown...ledley..................
    Mathews........commons...................
    ................................................sammy
    .........................pukki..........................

That's the team I would go with but ambrose will play....mulgrew will be in midfield and sammy will no doubt be upfront.

Are Lustig and Matthews both fit for this?

I can't understand anyone having Pukki in place of Stokes.

Samaras I can understand as we know what he is capable of in Europe, but a guy we know relatively little about in place of one of our top performers so far this season is baffling.

Nice Team, Agree with you though, think it will be more like
    ------------Forster---
    Lustig----Virgil--Ambrose---Izzy
    --------------Muglrew--
    ----Brown----------------Ledley
    --------Commons-----------------Sammy
    -----------------Stokes----

Lopsided formation, with Brown playing Right Centre mid, Commons playing inside right and Sammy playing very wide left.

Exactly, which is why I said that whatever points you take off us will be based on merit. Never denied that.

But you cannot completely ignore the fact as to what big blows these injuries are for us.

Kaka is most likely out as well btw, so I'm expecting Robinho to slip in behind Matri and Balotelli instead

The injuries can only be a good thing for us, there is no denying that. Some of there most key players are out.

because pukki is a better counter attacking threat than stokes with his pace which could get him in behind their defenders.Plus I don't rate Stokes in europe.

At this point it's hard to tell. Kaka, Montolivo, Abate, De Sciglio, Pazzini are definitely out.

There is no confirmation on whether Poli will miss the game or not as of yet, so I'm still hopeful that he makes it, but with how things are going, probably not. So I'm thinking that we'll most likely see this

    Abbiati
    Zaccardo-Zapata-Mexes-Urby
    Nocerino-De Jong-Muntari
    Robinho
    Balotelli-Matri

And this is specifically why I'm expecting us to hit you on the break simply because we have no creative outlets in midfield so we won't go for a possession based strategy.

The only changes that could happen with that line-up is Constant ahead of Urby at LB with Urby maybe being used in midfield instead of Nocerino or Muntari. But that's unlikely. The rest pretty much pick themselves considering what we have left of the squad
