I'm not jumping to any sort of conclusions by the way, just asking a genuine question. If the magic happens, and Celtic beat Milan at the San Siro, would there be huge disappointment/anger/shock in Milan? Would the fans find it totally unacceptable or will your fans be viewing this as a game that potentially could be a 'banana skin'?

Just nice to gauge other fans views on games. :50:

Balotelli and Kaka will be earning more in a week than our entire starting 11, that puts it into perspective the markets we are operating in.

I can see where you are coming from but I will guarantee Milan have the lions share of possession. Maybe not as much as strong favourites at home normally do in the Champions League but you will have more of the ball such is the nature of these games.

If we lose this game, it's gonna be negative and fans will get angry. We must win this game no matter the team we field out. Only a win would be considered as a good result .

Was reported on BT sport that Kaka is out for a month! Good news surely as i thought he looked decent vs torino.

    Understandable enough mate, thanks. :50:

I do have a feeling we'll nick a draw, but I think it's just the blind optimism people have about the club they support because I'm under no illusion AC Milan are better than us. It's the magic of the Champions League though!

We just need Balotelli to stub his big toe in training & we're set. :smiley-laughing002:

Obviously there will be anger and disappointment, certainly not a big shock though. We have a coach who's led us to 4 consecutive poor starts to the season now, so it wouldn't be a shock to anyone if we lose or draw.

The anger and disappointment will come because we all know that this is a must win for us. And this is not to discredit you or anything of the sort but because we'll most likely see a maximum of 1 point from the Barca game and either a loss or draw at Celtic park, so those are points that we already know that's we'll lose, which makes this game + the Ajax games crucial for advancing.

As for the Banana skin, I think it's 50/50 with fans, but seeing how the injury list for us is getting so overcrowded most - if not all - Milan fans are very worried that we'll lose points here which in turn will sound out the panic buttons for us in terms of qualification to the next round

Agreed on the market perspectives. But don't think it's all rosy on this side, we've had serious financial problems these past few years, especially with the FFP ruling coming into the fold in the next few years

As for the possession, I'm personally expecting us to let you come at us, sort of like what we did to PSV in the qualifiers. We don't have the personnel available atm to play our usual slow possession game so I'm expecting us to drop a bit back and let you have the ball then try to catch you out on counters.

Strange that both sets of fans expect their teams to play counter-attacking football. How did PSV do against you in the qualifiers?

First game, it was pretty even in term of possession. Second game we let the ball to Psv and kill them in counter attack. They were very naïve , it was quite Easy . I don't know if you have their technical abilty, because they were good in terms of technique but i hope you have their defence. They were very poor defensively.

Aye - it seems there'll be a strange type of football played. The ball will sit in the middle of the park with 11 men in each penalty area refusing to go to the ball first, thus, resulting in an inevitable 0-0.

0-0 at the San Siro? * take that!!

Don't know where they got this from but as of right now nothing has been confirmed or unconfirmed about an injury for Kaka

I thought we did well, conceded a goal against them off an Abbiati mistake but other than that we controlled the game without controlling the possession (if that makes any sense)

We let them have the ball in areas which led to them feeling comfortable enough to push forward and we caught them out against the run of play 3 times over the 2 legs.

They're a very talented young team with skilful and pacey players but their inexperience is what led to their downfall. I'm not going to be expecting the same naivety out of you but I'm not expecting us to try to go for a possession based game or that we push a lot of players up and let you catch us out.

This is a Milan team that beat barca 2-0 last year, I've already got this game down as a loss so even if we get a draw that would be fantastic.

I will be astonished if this is not the team:

    Forster
    Lustig Ambrose Van Dijk Izaguirre
    Mulgrew
    Brown Ledley
    Commons............................Samaras
    Stokes

Going by Lennon's comments it seems like he will be playing Pukki and Boerrigter.

“I want to improve our away form. I don’t want to keep relying on the home record because eventually that’s going to go.

“So it is important we look at our away form and try to improve that.

“Pace is very important in the Champions League and we’ve got that with Boerrigter. It is something we really focused on last year, particularly defensively.

“Boerrigter is an interesting one because we haven’t had a quick left-sided player for a while and he is prepared to go in behind people.

“If he’s fit and flying he’ll be useful on the counter-attack in Europe.

“He has the European experience as well. Teemu Pukki is very experienced at international and club level and will be a good player for us.”

    I reckon it'll be this:

    Forster

    Lustig Ambrose Van Dijk Izaguirre

    Mulgrew

    Brown Ledley

    Commons............................Boerrigter

    Samaras

I'm convinced Stokes will be dropped.

Same as me - but tempted to go for pace on both wins and play Matthews RW.

And this is also a Milan side who lost 4-0 to Barça.

We beat Barça 2-1 and lost 2-1 with the last kick of the ball at the Camp Nou.

    Pull yourself together, man. :smiley-laughing002:

We are very similar in quality to PSV. They are better going forward than us but we are more solid in midfield and defense. I can't see AC Milan racking up a huge score against us. It will be a tight game. Personally I think Milan will win by the odd goal. Can see us scoring though. I think you will agree your defense is the weak link in your team.
