Barca played “seriously“.

Nobody was saying we are better than yous anyway, we know it would také a great performance and possibly luck to get a result.

 

Refreshingly honest.

I think no one here really expects to win, but I don't think it's about playing 'seriously'.

We would need Milan to play below par and 5 or 6 of our players to have a really good night, but don't forget we were seconds away from taking a point in Barcelona last year and have a bit more experience now.

Milan are obviously a better side than us, no point even debating that.

I think some on here are vastly undervaluing AC, this isn't a Benfica or Spartak Moscow. They're a top side with top players, they have 4 or 5 players who play regularly for Italy. I wouldn't be surprised if they beat us by 3 or 4 if our defence has an off night.

Anyone in the champions league takes every game seriously,I suppose the reason they haven't won at celtic park is because they were taking those games easy..
That explains why goalkeepers were rolling around trying to get the game called off and strikers were diving for penalties

It's up to them to prove they're a better side. As I said, in the only competition we shared last year we both reached the same stage. Against shared opposition we came off better

Not saying they don't have players with a higher reputation, but IMO this Milan sides needs to prove itself before they can claim to be vastly superior to us. They're no Barcelona by any means.

I think Milan and benfica would be a very, very close tie over 2 legs.

 

I was the one suggesting it was daft, and IMO somewhat condescending, to suggest that the only hope we have is if Milan don't give a *.

Why wouldn't your team doesn't play "seriously" in the Champions League? Milan are "much better" than Celtic? Odd that you got * out at the same stage as us last season and secured Champions League football by the skin of your teeth.

Milan are waning. You have a few very talented players but I think you're getting a bit above yourself. You're nowhere close to the Bayern München, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus, etc. and we won't fear you (we'll respect you, although that obviously - if you reflect your teams attitude - won't be reciprocated).

Barcelona actually were a far better side than us (and Milan, by a long, long way) and they played seriously. Had they not scored with the last kick of the ball at the Camp Nou, we'd have taken 4 points from them.

We'll wait and see if your confidence (some might say arrogance) is well placed. I just have a feeling you, like Spartak and Benfica fans on here last season, will be eating your words in December.

 

So Barcelona never played seriously against us?

That always makes me laugh, even some of our own fans were peddling this myth.

As if any team in the CL who haven't already qualified aren't giving 100% in every game... Laughable.

Reality is harsh.

 

For the first Time in a few years you reach the last 16 and you are equal to us? Where were you we reach the last 8 two years ago? Not even in Cl. So yeah we have proved to be better, sorry, but it's reality.
