Hopefully! Need everyone fit for this game. Although this isn't one of our crucial games, we have to remember the points you get on Day 1 are as important as the points you get on Day 6. Anything out of this game would massively help our hopes of getting 2nd or 3rd.

Well we tried to sell some of those guys as they're mostly rotation/filler players, but couldn't offload them as they are on huge wages that most teams who would want them in their squad can't pay the wages they've gotten used to earning at Milan, and the players are happy to stay with us on the bench earning their money.

It's mostly just a shame that we'll be missing so many of our regulars, otherwise those players you mentioned wouldn't get anywhere near the line-up

Like I said, if there's any time to beat us, this is surely it. Niang and Silvestre don't really matter, but all the others would be starting if they weren't injured. So yeah, we're far from being at our best right now and I'm seriously worried about playing you guys and to make it even worse, Napoli will be our next fixture. So no reprieve for us

TBH we'd play better against a fully fit Milan,it's a complacency thing. At least a full strength Milan we know exactly what we're up against.Looking forward to game. How many tickets did our fans get does anyone know?

There's no danger of Lenny or the players being complacent against Milan, regardless of how many players they have out injured. It would be ridiculous, they are clearly a better side than us.

If anything, I'm hoping they will go into this game with a complacent attitude and then get a rude awakening from our lads.

Pace up front for counter attacks will be vital. Mulgrew has to play for set peices.

Mexes is a rash defender too, he won't like Samaras running at him. I hate Samaras up front but this is the kind of game they will try and pin us in and he'll get space to play in - in the middle.

Lennon has his work cut out picking the team anyway.

I wouldnt mind seeing this team either

    Forster
    Lustig Ambrose Van Dijk Mulgrew
    Brown Ledley
    Commons Samaras Boerrigter
    Pukki

Irish TV are showing a game on Wed night has anyone any idea which game it is,
I'd be shocked if it was the Celtic game as RTE2 tends to be an extension of MUTV.:31:

    Abbiati

    Zaccardo Mexes Zapata Emanuelson

    De Jong Muntari

    Balotelli Kaka Robinho

    Matri

I'm certainly no Milan expert but it won't be far off that if none of the injured players make it. Kevin Constant might play left back instead of Emanuelson but neither are anything to worry about. Could also be a 4-3-1-2 with Kaka behind Robinho and Balotelli but their hand might be forced with so many midfielders out.

I'm a big fan of Abbiati. Not a big name but is a fantastic shot stopper.

They're obviously a good team but are several average players in that team and they're definitely beatable.

If it's De Jong and Muntari we are more than capable of bossing that midfield.

There are also several players in Milan's team with a questionable temperament. I'm looking primarily at De Jong, Mexes, Robinho and of course Super Mario.

After yesterday's game I would like to see the following team start in Milan :

    Forster

    Lustig Ambrose Van Dijk Izaguirre

    Mulgrew
    Commons Brown Ledley Samaras

    Stokes

Could change the midfield about and have Commons playing behind Stokes. Stokes deserves his chance to show what he can do in the champions league, also a bit of pace on the bench in Boeriggter and Pukki who could be brought on in the 2nd half. Can't wait for the game now !!

I think Milan will be desperate to win this one... they certainly wont be counting on taking 3 points from Celtic Park so if they really do believe (as stated by one of their players) that Ajax are going to finish 3rd in the group then they cannot afford anything less than a win.

0-0 at half time would see pressure on them but an opening goal for us could make for a very feisty match. I really hope we can score over there -- if we get the first goal then we have a great chance of coming away with something. I think Milan will score at least once.

Fraser, the team really needs you to find the same form you showed last campaign. My best wishes to all our supporters making the trip ... i wish you all a trouble free trip, something to celebrate and happy memories for the future. :shamrock:
