Pato was more injured than not in his last few years, totally lost his form and match fitness.

Well there were a lot of rumours circulating in the Italian press that he wasn't going to play even if he was available. A lot of talk that Allegri prefers Matri or Robinho as they're more adapt to a 2 striker system and he was going to ease El Shaarawy into the new set-up

As long as no more injuries crop up, I'm pretty sure it will be

    Zaccardo--Mexes--Zapata--Urby
    De Jong
    Montolivo--Muntari
    Kaka
    Balotelli--Robinho
The only ones who could be changed are Constant for Urby and Matri for Robinho.

But I think this is more likely

Its a good team ACM thats for sure but there are weaknesses in it, full back areas are not full strength with abate out injured and de scigilio.

Zapate can be got at too in the heart of the defence. Never rated Muntari either but montolivo is a very good player. Should be a good game actually.

Yeah, obviously we have some issues in defence especially the FB areas. But Urby is good enough and Zaccardo is strong defensively so we won't see him going up and down the flank, that will be left to Urby.

Yeah, personally don't like Muntari either, but Allegri prefers him over Poli who is a more attack minded/creative player in midfield. Muntari brings in a more physical edge to our game, plus he can pop up with a gaol here and there so it's not all bad. Zapata is usually a solid CB, he tends to have some lapses in concentration, which is what worries me but we'll see how he'll do on the night. It usually depends on Mexes, if he has a good performance Zapata follows suit, if Mexes has a shaky day Zapata tends to lose a bit of his confidence and makes mistakes.

Yeah, no doubt it will be a good game. I'm actually preparing to watch my first ever Scottish league game in 8 minutes or so. Just to scout out the competition :icon_mrgreen:

Youse must be pretty confident. Not even picking a keeper.

    Kaka - done.
    Robinho - sand dancer.
    Balotelli - inconsistent, volatile nutcase.

Only thing you have to worry about is Balotelli on a good night the other 2 can be handled if you are tactically disciplined.

Haha Emanuelson! He gets played as a left back, a left mid, a centre mid and a trequartista, more versatile than Mulgrew :icon_mrgreen:

I was thinking about Matthews at LB as well but i thought Izzy was good today and i dont know if Matthews will be fit, would be a good player to come off the bench last 20 mins or something.

Not a chance will we play with 4 attack minded players in a 4-2-3-1 even though I'd love to

    Forster

    Lustig
    Ambrose
    Van Dijk
    Izzaguirre

    Commons
    Brown
    Ledley
    Mulgrew
    Samaras

    Stokes

That would be a more realistic team but i quite like the look of it i must say

We don't need to win, a draw would do us fine.

The home and away games against Ajax will define our CL campaign this year in my opinion, could be a possible 6 points against a side that has been quite severely weakened over the summer. Although, they will be thinking the same thing about ourselves.

A win against Milan would be simply incredible on Wednesday though, it's all about not conceding in the first 15-20 minutes and just settling the nerves.

    Forster
    Matthews Lustig Mulgrew Izaguirre
    Virgil
    Brown Ledley Samaras

    Stokes

This is quite possibly the same team that I posted earlier in this thread (can't be bothered looking back), but it's definitely the starting XI that I would go with during the week.

Also dependant on Adam being fit after today's game, * willing.

    I would go with that.
Don't think we will mind. Probably end up dropping Sammy or Stokes for Mulgrew

Not if you broke their legs within the first ten minutes they couldn't.

be livid if he did. He's been or on form striker this season (4 goals in 5 league games if I'm not mistaken?) and after today he deserves it.
I'd be more comfortable if Sammy or Derk were dropped. Not both as we do need height up there. But Mulgrew, Brown, Ledley is a dead cert for a solid midfield 3.

4 in 3 games :50: If i was dropping anybody for Mulgrew it would be Derk rather than Sammy cos we know what Sammy can bring in these games, but id prefer both played
