Think not replacing hooper quicker made a big difference. had we had a striker like pukki it would have made our passage through a lot easier.

I think it only looks dissapointing because we already know he guys who left and the impact they had at our club!

We have signed a guy from Ajax and a guy from shalke! * me for a team in a * league I think this is good going! We all know pukki will turn good big van dijk had a good game today shows what we will we from him and big nir looks promising from the videos! 3 players left and we have replaced there positions simple!

And my point is Lennon will be well aware of our financial situation, more so than any of us, and he doesn't believe he's been backed enough given what's available.

Obviously there are folk on here that have completely unrealistic expectation on how much we should be spending but not everyone who's unhappy were expecting us to go out and spend a fortune on top of what we've already spent to get the players the manager obviously feels we need.

I know we have signed quality but I think we were all hoping for a name that really excites the fans.

I'm not disappointed. We've brought in 2 strikers, a winger, 2 defenders and a (hopefully) Victoresque midfielder. I'm happy enough with what we have.

    He's nothing like Wanyama apparently.

Shouldn't be disappointed. Celtic will never push the boat out for marquee signings again. It's pretty sad. Business model all the way. Hoperfully the players we got will turn out well like Wanyama, Hooper and Wilson, but the problem with that is that it's a gamble. They may turn out like Bangura, Miku, Gershon and Lassad.

I felt that with the income we've had for these 2 seasons, especially the transfers out, we had the opportunity to go for a higher calibre of player; one that was tried and trusted, so less of a financial gamble, but obviously the board have other ideas.

A top class striker would have been great, and maybe even a necessity now that Hooper has gone. Only time will tell if they have made the correct decisions.

Same old story at end of another transfer window , the board are happy just to limp over the line yet again even though the fans are crying out for a big signing.
I understand what the club are trying to do with watching the money etc but knowing the amount of money that has been made this last year I feel that the fans have been robbed this window tbh.
It seems to me that the board are only interested in what is in the bank and the fans are buying into this * , we should be buying player to play for Celtic not to sell after a season for profit. Fair enough selling a player or 2 to balance the books but as far as I can see the club is now been ran to achieve that big bonus at the end of the year and not for the football.

Pukki signed so today was a good day. Best transfer window in a while. We've gotta be happy with the way the teams shaping up.

Total market value arrivals: £10.120.000 = total: £9.301.600

Total market values departures: £19.272.000 = total: £
    20.856.000

This means the club have still made money so they could afford to purchase
an out and out goal scorer, an attack minded midfielder and central defender.

How does it mean that ? That money could well be accounted for. This isn't fm or fifa. You can't spend what you bring in. Celtic have massive running costs.

The champions league money from last season should more than cover the running costs.:50:

Celtic have made £40m + before CL qualification this season. They have been runnng the club but also having a surplus that could have brought in a couple more players. And not just squad players, players that could make a difference, the sell on value for someone worth say £4m could be massive in a couple of years time.
