We've not even bothered to do that. Instead we've decided to run the risk of Ledley, Commons, Stokes and Samaras rejecting extensions and signing a pre contract with someone else in Jan.

Don't think Samaras and Commons will be hard to deal with but hasn't Stokes already rejected one offer? Can see him expecting more than we're willing to give him. And as much as Ledley is making all the right noises about staying, he was happy enough to run his contract down at the club he supports then further shaft them by joining a non English club meaning they got * all compensation.

Happy with the players we've brought in as I reckon van Dijk, Biton, Boerrigter and Pukki will prove to be good buys in time. But still think we're short of another centre back, a creative player and a striker. Plus we've been needing competition for Izzy for * knows how many windows now.

And as much as your happy with the window, Lennon doesn't appear to be.

No-one is saying they'll be * or dismissing them.

It's quite clear though that Boerrigter aside, the signings are mainly "project/development" buys. I'd have hoped securing back to back CL group stages would see us move on from just buying raw, cheap, undeveloped players.

    Ohwell.

Finnbogason, I believe would have come to Celtic in a flash.

They are, don't be silly. We have raked in about £60 million over the past year.

And yet lennon has said the cl money this year 18 millionish will keep the club running for 3-4 years.
That tells me there is a shortfall in our finances and ticket sales ect ect does not cover everything like some people think.
Im not saying we don't have spare cash but i think there is less than some people think.
The accounts will be interesting reading.

Think that is a highly likely. Can't see us singing anyone in January...Looking it at financially, there isn't much point of investing then.

Celtic will tie up Ledley shortly. Watch this space.

    Samaras is a dime deal.

I agree totally m8,I thought after Wednesday we would have learned a lesson and lawwell would have brought in a couple of blue chip signings.think this will be Lennon's last season.imagine the team we would have if we never made the champs league the last couple of seasons.

What made you think that though? Good players don't want to play in the spl. The CL thing is a red herring.

They want EPL football. Sign of times

    No, not always.

However, we need a goalscorer. I would feel more confident with Finnbogason rather than Pukki.

While I think Pukki will be a very good player and score goals, I reckon Alfred would score more.

That is so patronising. You are not the only fan who endured the bad times, most of us grew up throughout the 9 in a row era and it was agonising, we almost lost our club.

You certainly should fear for the future. I have had the same seat in park head since we stopped the ten and the area is growing emptier by the season. Can you blame folk for not investing? Why invest in a product that does not invest in itself.

We are continually fed lies about coming out of a transfer window stronger and there is no evidence of that here. The lee tomlin bid only further compounds that fact.

The fact is we were CL last 16 and are in CL again. The club is run well.

The players we sold didnt arrive as great signings.

Wanyama was a project as was hooper and many players whove been signed recently! These players could be better than what we had they just need a chance to prove it!

Just because they are 4/5m doesn't mean they would be excellent signings. The price tag would excite some fans aye but it doesn't guarantee success. We have spent good money on good players like you have said. The 3 you have mentioned are great signings for us.

I couldn't believe it when we signed Boerrigter. Thought he looked a right good player at Ajax.

It does invest in itself. The audited accounts show this time and time again.

If you think they are fiddled then I don't really know what to say to you.
