People continually include Samaras as a "striker" why?

Blatantly not, you only have to watch his European games this season in that position to see he's not up to that role.

 

Van Dijk for Wilson seems pretty like for like. Except VD has a better header and Wilson a better tackle. But that comes with experience. No replaced Wanyama but Biton is a good signing. And we will see what Pukkii is made of and HOPEFULLY he can fill gary's void. We are without a doubt quite short though and I would have liked to see 1 or 2 more faces in. Had my heart set on Finbo though.

 

The board get players the manager wants. He got several. They tried to get others.

It's not the boards fault that Lennon went into euro game other night with no new players starting the game.

I cannot say I am disappointed with this window till I see Pukki play.

 

He's a forward player. His goals in Europe show that. He does it well for Greece too

I think you are blind. The fact we haven't replaced our main striker who we knew was leaving is criminal.

Peter lawell continues to spout this pish that we aim to come out of any window stronger and there is no way we are this time round. Considering the money we have brought in I don't think it's acceptable. No one is asking them to spend millions and millions we should have signed a goalscorer though.

The forward line hasn't looked great this season, I was struggling to see a goal coming on Wednesday until commons touch of magic. With Pukki not being an out and out goalscorer I am not filled with confidence and feel not having a penalty box predator will come back to bite us throughout the season.

 

Far too early to say that. Wilson was fantastic last season.

 

We are significantly weaker than last year. Sorry but your already in a coffee shop in Amsterdam if you think otherwise, I believe. We have sold our best two players and brought in a described 'work in progress' striker. Samaras isn't a striker, left winger yes.

 

Yup, big Forster will leave and the balance sheet will be even shinier; well once Lawwell has finished jizzing on it.

 

I'm not saying I don't like that sort of defender, but I like that sort partnered with an out and out CB.

 

We have signed Pukki to replace hooper. He may well score loads.

We will end up playing one striker with Commons behind them and Samaras/Boeriggter on the wing. The SPL will be the only time we consider playing 2 up. Each striker offers something different. Not a bad thing. Pukki may be a reveletion.

 

Eric Riley controls the cash. Lawwell just gets the abuse.

 

Lennon has identified all the players he's signed. If they turn out poor he's to blame, not the board.

To be fair, though, some of the posts I found funniest (like the guy with no sense of humour who wanted staff to start handing out bans ) might have ended up in people actually getting bans (most likely starting with him). I'd rather threads got locked than people got bans.
