Strachan seems to be going down the road of giving as many players a run out as possible and looking at different formations, and that is not a bad thing imo.
Come the crunch though, he will know what his best starting 11 is.
We'll see his intentions nearer the home games I reckon.

I just found out why we lost, strachan gave a interview after the match saying:

It was clear this is true when celtic were playing they looked puffed out like scott brown and even miller looked not up for it, am sure against QPR strachan will stop the two team thing no long training before the match aswell and the players will give a good preformance better than that against Basel.

I think the game will be 2-0 to celtic :50:

Why would he train them for 2 hours before the game?

Thats what I just said? :97:

But for all you know he couldv'e made a big impression and couldv'e been our 2nd Choice Goalkepper, Everyone deserves their chance, just because they are 3rd Choice or 2nd Choice dosen't mean they aren't part of the team.

    * sake does the name "friendly" no give away the fact that its just a kick about? imo friendlys are to give players who wont usually get a chance to prove there worth and get a run out knowing if they * up it wont have any consequences eg lose points in the league or get knocked out in the cup! whats all the fuss about?

Losing friendlies is of course meaningless , but id bet if we played and won friendlies against Man utd ,liverpool ,chelsea ,real madrid or barcelona youd be rubbing your hands and making out you cannae wait till the season starts...

    or am i wrong?

are you sayin tht if we played man utd in a friendly they would play there full squad?would you be happy if u travelled away over there for a friendly and got left on the bench? the players must think" what chance have a got if a cant get a game in a friendly" personally i think it was good gs gave them a run out keeps there morale up. well done strachan

i think the chelsea friendly ended in a draw? friendlies aint the same anymore and celtic's approach to them now is different becuase of the amount they have to play and all the travel involved...friendlies are meaningless no matter if we paly barca or peterborough it's all the same. last year we were still playing friendlies after the league had started which is a joke :47:

1-1. Gary Caldwell scored after ten minutes ^^

And of course there is a different between a match against Young Boys of Berne and Peterborough. Games against small teams early in the pre-season, and then Newcastle and Parma who are bigger teams closer to the Kilmarnock opening match.
