strachans mass subs

can any 1 explaine why celtic started with a 3rd choice goalkeeper baring in mind frendlies are suppose to be a chance to tune the team,also 8 subs at once,whats that all about,,what can any1 learn by doing this.ok its a friendly but ,surely subs are there to change a team if things dont or are not going right.
strachans decicion to make wholesale changes had the oppisite effect promptly getting a doing 4-1 all this while leaving gravesson and the 3rd choice keeper for thefull match these are 2 players whom strachan ignored most of last season,and wil ignore again.while players hes just baught are off the feild,,, then theres evander sno ,strachan subs him then pressley gets injured,hence we need another player,strachan promtly sends sno back on,so in effect he unsubbed the sub while all the new players are sitting there

no, its preseason its all about fitness, not really about winning the games. thats a bonus.

 

if its fitness, why not play boruc or brown in goal.or why play gravesson for full match knowing full well he isent in the plan for next season,while the new bhoys are sitting there

 

strach said he would give grave a chance and done that by giving him two games in swiss land. boruc, dono why he never atleast got 45min. though i'm sur he will soon. brown played the first match.

 

i know that but y play a 3rd choice keeper who will not play a single match next season

 

I agree davie he is playing players he is looking to ship out like Jarosik and Zurawski and Gravesen and also the keeper he should have been alowed on but only for 45 mins.

 

he personaly has never said he wants rid of magic though its only fans who say this. so maybe he still feels they can do a job
though i pray he gets rid of jiri and am starting to pray he gets rid of grav...

 

when it gets nearer the time to kick off the season he'll play the first team i think..(hope)

 

He is playing fringe players in these matches to see what if anything they can add to the side. This is their chance to shine but so far I dont think anyone has caught his eye.

 

^^^thats what i think too - there's lots of time to play ur first 11, maybe he's just makin celtic some money by doing these friendly's and still thinks the team needs more of a rest

 

I guess but he has got to get rid of some strikers our strike force the now is two large and in the friendlys he was playing players out of position he hasn't got a even squad he has lots of players for one position and only one for other positions.

Some might still feel tired after what was a vey gruelling season emotinally and physically so he might decide to w8 for a few games to play them, and even tho i wouldnt do it maybe he is trying to see if these 'mabe' players like virgo, mcgovern and graverson can cut it tho i think its unfair to judge on 1 game

 

It's not really a friendly match. Nearer a training game against a team from near the camp.

* the result, * the performance. He just want to use all players there have travel all the way for Switzerland. And those profiles who is most tired maybe gets lesser time on the pitch than others.

Some of yours guys should take a break sometimes. Too many "football experts", and "I-know-better-than-Strachan" persons. Please shut the * up.

How do you know we wont play McGovern? Look at Chelsea and look at how they ended up! Plus Pre-Season is a time to get players fit and give 2nd string players a game! If you leave out all them they will get fed up and leave. Also for all we know Zurawski could be in the line-up next Season or at least the bench so hes going to have to be fit! We have plenty more Friendlies left and at this point Strachan is more or less establishing his team! Boruc dosent need to start every match as he isn't running about the pitch for 90 Minutes and we know what he can do! Its time to give Brown & McGovern a chance until the later Friendlies where we give Boruc matches.

 

here we go ,ok ,,i ll explain y i think mcgovern wont play next season READY? because he is 3rd choice keeper, and unless something drastic happens then ,,number 1 and number 2 will be our goalkeepers.
