What an idiot he is, I hope it doesn't come down to head to head if they beat us in Amsterdam

Thought the red was harsh to be honest, would usually be a yellow in my opinion.

However, possibly one of the shitest, most stupid, pointless tackles (in terms of him not needing to do it at all) I've seen and lennon went mad at him going down the tunnel.

It was a definite booking. I think the crowd probably didn't help right enough, you could hear the gasp in George * Square when he made the tackle :56:

On the officials, unsure if the fourth official was from Croatia? However, he was an absolute eejit that didn't have a * clue what he was doing. Couldn't work the board and couldn't take proper orders. We didn't want Lustig to come off prior to their free kick being taken yet we were made to because he decided :31:

I know Celtic fans can be bad at times but if we don't qualify and blame it on a mistimed tackle we have stooped to new lows.

But that is the reality a stupid tackle could cost us dearly

Silly tackle last night but im not going to judge him until he has a preseason under his belt because I watched him in the under 21 euros and he was top drawer.

What about if Brown hadn't got sent off for a petulant kick that you would expect from an inexperienced player. Surely that would be more to blame, because until that, we were looking good for a point. If we go out on the head to head, it will not be because Nir Biton got sent off in a game which we won.

There are plenty other things we could look at.

Silly challenge, the referee was quite lenient last night, obviously he thought it was dangerous enough to warrant a sending off.

Biton is a real prospect for the future,a red card won't change that.

The rules aren't what change, it's the interpretation. You'll find that MLS, the SPFL, La Liga, and J-League are all officiated very differently.

    I'm not picky.
At the time I actually thought it was a very harsh red card and couldn't believe that the ref had sent Biton off. But, after calming down and thinking about it - and seeing a reply again - I think it was the right call. It wasn't a two-footed tackle (even though his left foot was at shin-height with his studs up), no, but it was a rash, late tackle. The Ajax player did make the most of it, but if his leg was planted, Biton would have went through it.

If the roles were reversed, we'd be screaming for a red card.

It was daft but part of the reason may have been he was a bit too eager to impress to try and earn a place in the team.

It's not the interpretation at all, it's varying degress of leniency.

I'm aware there are variances, I watch allsorts of football from all over. That doesn't remove the fact though a tackle against Hibs should be treated EXACTLY the same as a tackle against Ajax. Which is a fact a lot of people can't grasp.

It was completely reckless and if the other player hadn't lifted himself off the deck he could have been injured.

I think UEFA have been good with us in the past personally. Didn't even get a fine for the fireworks versus Cliftonville, we only got a fine for the guy running on the pitch against Milan when Dida went down, we only got a tiny fine when supporters threw bottles on the pitch in the San Siro that year too.
