id say most places will be booked up now when people are saying we will bring far more than the 10000 we brought there in 2001. Poosibly up to 15000. There will be some amount of people with no tickets.

U think that many?? They will need to put big screens up or something in a park or the square, surely that is a better idea than loads of us spread out all over the city in diffrent bars.

I have tickets for home with 3 mates end but im still hoping to get tickets for celtic end but the closer it gets the more unlikely it looks. At least I have something sorted anyway but fingers crossed for away end tickets. Aye I reckon we will bring that amount. Was in Barcelona last year and there was around 10000 there, but Amsterdam is easier and cheaper to get too plus date wise it was perfect for people. 2 months to save from the draw and not too close to Christmas. Think there was only 2000 at Milan which suggests a lot of people have possibly picked Amsterdam a "their away trip"

Id say after the way the Ajax fans got on last night we will need to be on our guard in Amsterdam. Ajax fans will prob want to start trouble especially after celtic fans stole their flag.

    Hail,hail,...
Can anyone tell me which pubs will be most visited during those days ?
(never been to Ajax away) I already had a look at some pubs and also heared that Mulligans and St James' Gate near Rembrandtplein aren't to bad. Also noticed that at Mulliigans there's a gig on tuesday
Tuesday 05 The Shenanygens energetic Celtic rock trio; wide selection of music from the 60s till today with an emphases on Celtic musicAnyone know them ?

St James gate is a good bar, spent few days there at a stag do few years ago. it is only few minute tram ride from central station and dam sq. There is lodas of bars including few irish bars in around dam sq and a lot of people will prop base themselves there. I know that when we played ajax in last year or two the fans spent the day of the dam drinking in Dam Sq. I think most places will have a good wee celtic crowd and people will be eager to stay amongst other celtic fans as they will not want to be drinking alone incase there any trouble.

On the day of the game a lot of fans will stand around Dam square, thats what happened last year, people were drinking there but I dont know if thats allowed or not or they just let people. About 40 fans were doing the conga round the statue or water fountain or whatever it is lol

Most pubs round about there will be full of Celtic fans.

I mind there was loads of Celtic fans left of Dam square and through a few streets, the pub was on a corner right at a bridge, was about 70/80 fans at the pub inside and out and standing on the bridge was mobbed but I cant even mind if it was an Irish bar or not, probably was - on the opposite corner was a prostitute standing at her door lol wonder how many popped in there.

In short, some Ajax fans were in the Brazen Head, they had a couple of flags up, one of them got taken by some Celtic fans.

I know a good few and there a few posts as well on here talking about it. Fair to say stay away from the F side where the Ultras are and hopefully things should be ok. I take it most Ajax fans were ok in Glasgow? I heard stories about fighting then others saying they were drinking with Ajax fans. I'll not be giving up my ticket after the hassle getting it that's for sure:celt_2:
