    No.

If you mean in front of the stadium as in the ticket office then you won't get one, but if you mean buying one from some random person then yeah, you won't be asked for ID when you have a ticket in your hand at the gate.

Yes. Firstly you wouldn't be allowed in wearing another team's shirt, and if you tried covering up and then taking a jacket off inside to show a Celtic top there'll be all kinds of bother. I'm not saying you'd get physically attacked, but you'd probably get all sorts of abuse before being lifted by stewards.

I must warn you that if you do end up in the Hibs end you'd be best to not show yourself as a Celtic fan, ie celebrating a Celtic goal. I certainly wouldn't try it as an away fan at Parkhead and Easter Road isn't any different.

After reading Hibby's assessment of going to Easter Road and sitting in the home crowd with a Celtic top I want to try this.

I would love one of those daft junkie fannies try it on with me. I would * go to town on those choocter fuds.

First I would use my jacket to deflect all the used needles coming my way, then when they were tired from launching their lunch at me I would go on the offensive, waving a tricolour at them and 90% of them would be screaming in pain and their skin would be burning.

Then I would just start flashing a bar of imperial leather at them and the rest would run back to their pig sty's to wallow in whatever filth they came from.

Then the stewards would move me into the Celtic end because they would feel sorry for me sitting on my todd in the home end.

    Job done!

I love the idea of Sean heading east (presumably thinking he's heading north with his "choocter" comment) with a tricolour and some soap tucked away for the banter. :smiley-laughing002:

Not sure i called any other club in Scotland "huns" but alright.

The tricolour and soap angle would work a treat on HIBERNIAN, the club called Irishmen but who seem to find the notion of being Irish to be a dirty word.

And hivs supporters are all manky * so it stands to reason they would run a mile from a bar of soap.

Seems like a normal conclusion to come to.

It's quite hard to take these opinions seriously when they're coming from someone who seemingly thinks Edinburgh is the highlands.

We have no problems with finding any nationality to be a dirty word and we're from probably the least manky part of Scotland. Unlucky champ.

Despite having no bragging rights over Celtic, my club still has you so wound up that the mere mention of them has you thrashing your maggot with jibes that sound like they were made by a 12 year old. Pleasing stuff.

Without wanting to derail the thread too much, I was working at the Edinburgh derby at Tynecastle and I saw a load of tricolours and Erin Go Bragh flags in the Hibs end.

Anyway, can you not register on the database if you want tickets or do you need to do something else before they add you to it?

We in Glasgow use teuchter to describe you weird folk who live in the sewers of Leith.

And is using phrases like "thrashing your maggot" not a bit hypocritical when accusing folk of acting like 12 year olds?

And by the way, using smileys from a hearts forum? You fair get around don't you?

That's interesting. My impression of Hibs - admittedly, only my impression (maybe Hibby can tell us more) was that they were quite hostile to tricolours. I've never seen any among Hibs fans, but then I haven't looked particularly hard.

I have often noticed a handful of "Erin Go Bragh flags" at Easter Road matches. About the same number of times I've seen green union flags a la:

I must say the Hibs official site has a very good history of the club on it.

This started as a joke by the way. Then Hibby got butthurt.

Sorry for derailing the thread more than it needed to be.

You'd have to book tickets and go to a game which isn't Category A first. Seems a lot of effort when it's all to see another team.

    Do you aye? Sounds believable.

I'm not trying to be rude as I'm sure there's plenty of good people there, but do you think the East End of Glasgow is the Monte Carlo or something?

I didn't see that on a Hearts forum, if that's where it's from it's done a bit of travelling since. You saying you read Hearts forums? You fair get around don't you.

Hibby, could you answer my points about Hibs and tricolours, please? I don't meet or interact with many Hibs fans and it's an aspect of Hibs I'm quite interested in.

Apparently there was a chairman back in the day who tried to ban tricolours, but generally there's no hostility to it from the fans. That said with the exception of the odd person here and there there isn't a particular fondness for it either, it's not a huge deal either way.

The green and black UJ's is purely connected to the CCS hooligans at the time, as the UJ was a symbol of the hooligan scene. I've never seen a blue and red UJ being flown by a Hibs fan and if one tried it it definitely wouldn't go down well (although I suspect it's more to us being Scottish than having Irish roots).

I'd say a more common bond amongst our fans is local pride and wanting our local team to do well rather than politics. Rarely happens though.

So are the green and black union flags that I've seen hanging from Hibs' fan ends at a few of their recent matches (including the Edinburgh derby) just an attempt to recall that CCS aesthetic then?

I saw perhaps three or four. I wasn't really paying that much attention.

Where did I say the picture wasn't created there originally?

    you said it has traveled.

now usually when a picture has traveled - and bear with me here - it isn't linked to the original source.

you lifted that image straight from a hearts forum to use on a Celtic forum.

From a Hibs fan no less.

Like i said you sure get around.

I guess. It's pretty sad tbh, most Hibs fans wouldn't associate with that and the fact that it's a UJ is the least of their problems if they're trying to associate themselves with hooligans. It's cringey as *.

Seriously? I go to every derby and I honestly don't think I've ever seen three/four green UJ's at a Hibs game at one time.

Saying people aren't fond of it doesn't mean they're against it. Pipe down. :smiley-laughing002:

Why would HIBERNIAN not be fond of Ireland?

The very notion is * idiotic.
