Will they kill a sheep on Wednesday at Paradise out of interest?? It obviously works so I would get the polis in and get them all arrested for animal cruelty :smiley-laughing002:

    It was, it was *.

Even before it started, you knew it would be because Samaras was a lone striker, Forrest was starting, Mulgrew wasn't at CB etc.

And you knew that Lennon wouldn't change any of that, or if he did it would be too late.

It's meaningless having more possession/shots etc if the other team score more goals than you.

We barely threatened them anyway. Forrest's header and a couple of set-pieces early on is all I can remember.

Mouyokolo letting a relatively harmless long-ball bounce so that their striker can get to the ball first....Van Dijk skying a free-kick in a good position when Mulgrew was stood next to him....Forster's kicking....* marking....Samaras standing completely still, not making the slightest bit of movement....the * patronising * in the studio re Hooper and Wanyama "inevitably leaving".

I just felt bad for our fans who had travelled to watch it. I've had two weeks off so I was loving it that I'd get to watch it as well ffs.

Van Dijk and Commons were the only two to get pass marks, the rest wern't good enough.

Well that was a load of bollocks. Our defence for their goals was a complete shambles. I personally think that Forster should have came for the ball that resulted in their first goal. It was only about 5 yards away when it came over to Finonchenko and could have surely easily punched the ball away but just stayed on his line.

Their second goal was just a complete joke all round that started with Izzy being MILES up field and didn't track back early enough.

When we were chasing the game, I don't understand why Lennon made the sub of Matthews on for Lustig (unless Lustig picked up a knock). Plus we only made two subs with the second one coming on with only 8 minutes to go :97: Really not good enough when we're trying to get a result.

Surely hope to * we play much better in the return leg.

There is no doubt in my mind that we will beat that team easily at Celtic park. They are a very average team. But that doesnt disguise the fact that we were *. From the goalkeeper out we were clueless. Forster was awful. The defence were useless. Karagandy just hoofed the ball up the field and every time there was panic in the defence. Our midfield did nothing. Just passed the ball backwards and sidewards. Samaras up front on his own was less than useless. The manager waited til we were 2 down before he tried to change anything. Too late by then. You can say if we had taken our earlier chances we would have won easily. Maybe so. And we should have won that game easily. But if Barcelona had taken all the chances they had against us last season they could have won 10-2. Well done Karagandy. They took their chances and got a memorable victory and they fully deserved it. After watching that im not even sure i want us to go further in the CL. Could be the most embarrassing season ever. But what does it really matter if we do get into the group stages? we wont spend any of the money on players anyway. No plusses from that game tonight at all. Very dissapointed in the players and the management.

Completely agree with everything you say here. Also, did you see the one where the ball came right at Forster at chest height and he fisted the * thing. Forster for england? yes please. Also their keeper was * awful. In the first few minutes he * up everything that came in high towards him. So, did we keep throwing high balls in towards him? Nah.

Today was another example of why I prefer when we play the first leg at home. Getting beat 2 nil away in first leg leaves us in such a vulnerable position. If we win 3-1 itll be * sickening.

I can`t see us scoring one goal nevermind 3 of them in the return leg. They are going to have every man behind the ball. Who is going to be the player to break them down and be the creative influence? I like Commons but that's asking too much of him imo and other most creative player Stokes doesn`t get near the team because Lennon quite obviously has a petty grudge against him. You wouldn`t be in a * job if it wasn`t for Stokes

I personally don't think Lenny has a grudge against Stokes, just that Lenny has a poor judgement of players abilities.

Aye I remember that one because I remember shouting "why the * didn't you just catch that?!?!" :52:

He done the exact same in the Greuther Fürth friendly I think it was which led to their second goal. The ball was hit in from a corner and instead of him coming for it, he just stayed on his line and it was scored by Kraus at the backpost.

I still rate Forster very highly, but I just think there are times when he doesn't come for the ball like he should. I think that's really his only weakness.

Their team all over wasn't the best and it was our own downfall which led to their two goals. The first one like I said, and their second one was just a mess with it all starting from Mouyokolo heading it to the left wing, and Izzy tracking back too late. What van Dijk was doing I don't know because he just seemed to leave Khizhnichenko unchallenged.

The second goal really was embarrassing. Izaguirre gave the ball away so tamely, but if you watch it again look at mulgrew, what the * is he doing?
Caught in no mans land and decides to close down the same player as izaguirre leaving a huge amount of space behind him. Dont know whether it was down to bad coaching or mulgrew just completely lacking concentration. Either way it looked shocking. Mouyokolo's clearance didnt help either.

I've stayed away from the site after that game, but I left more upbeat than I should've been. I was thinking this was just a moment of madness and that we'd smash them at CP.

After some sleep and thinking about it more I'm starting to get more worried and really doubting we can pull this one back... Right now I just don't see it.

Well, it was Mouyokolo who technically gave the ball away after a punt upfield by the Karagandy player. Izzy never ran back to try and get back into position AFTER the Shakhter player received the ball from Mouyoloko, but by then it was too late. I see where you're at with Mulgrew as well, though, but at least one of those should have been busting a gut to get back into position and really that should have been Izzy as he was at left-back.

Then van Dijk didn't deal with the ball when it came into the box and left Khizhnichenko to have practically a free header.

Was just awful from the moment Mouyokolo headed the ball to the Karagandy player and it was just terrible defending and the 1st goal wasn't much better.

Van Dijk? You serious mate? :smiley-laughing002: Him and Mouyokolo were like the * Chuckle Brothers. Dreadful. Got dragged all over the place by that striker with eyes too close together.

Karagandy are one of the most limited sides I'v ever had the misfortune to witness. It's incredibly embarrassing we lost to that. They make Stoke under Tony Pulis look like Brazii of 1970.

I'v had renowned faith this morning that we'll pump them at CP, see no reason why we can't.

    Hey guys, hello!

I honestly didn't expect Shakhter to get such a score against the mighty Celtic. My prediction was 3:0 to Celtic but 2:0 was in my far dreams.

I don't understand the overreaction of majority of fans here on this forum. You didn't lose to Barcelona or Manchester United 2:0, you lost to Shakhter Karagandy from Kazakhstan (or as you'd love to call my homeland - Borat country).

You still have the quality to turn the tables in Glasgow. Skenderbeu were whooping us 3:0 after just half an hour of the second leg in Albania.

We were indeed, as you prefer to call, a mob but this mob had a character and determination but the play on our part was primitive.

It was a great game for us but I think it is ridiculous to think that it is over for Celtic, I would even smell sarcasm here.

    Good luck at Parkhead!
