Yup, 20 minutes on the weekend, looked assured. Need height on the pitch.

Was even thinking stick Mulgrew at left back and Ambrose in the middle.

Sweet, thanks. I couldn't see it on the Sky Guide, I knew it was going to be on early but I didn't expect it to be that early.

    Is Stokes or Bobo fit?

Samaras has been terrible up front the twice hes played there so far this season. Two 70 year old women at centre-half could track his (lack of) movement.

    Id hope for

    Forster
    Lustig Mouyokolo Mulgrew Izaguirre
    Forrest Brown Ledley Samaras
    Commons
    Stokes

Bobo and Matthews could come on for Forrest and Stokes

What the * is wrong with you, people?
Don't you eat Haggis, which has this gaggy sheep's pluck like heart, liver and lungs?

I guess the reaction of Celtic fans would have been different if the news had read that the Shakhter Karagandy team ate sheep before the training. The only word that daunts you is 'sacrificing'.

I mean everybody eats meat and I don't see anything wrong with 'sacrificing' sheep and eating it or when have the Scots become vegetarians and animal advocates?

Speaking of the tomorrow game in Astana, I don't believe that the Celtic team share the same opinion of Shakhter Karagandy as some of the stuckup, overly confident, complacent Celtic fans.

In fact, I am from Karagandy and Shakhter is my hometown team but all the odds are against Shakhter. As much as I want Shakhter to progress, I don't see this happening. I think the score would be 3:0 to Celtic in Astana.

And please don't mention Borat when talking about Kazakhstan, Sacha Baron Cohen has NEVER been to Kazakhstan, so he has no idea what it is like. The movie was filmed in Romania and those poor village people in the movie were Romanian gypsies.

Good luck while I would be rooting for Shakhter to put up a decent fight against Celtic and for my lacklustre Arsenal against Fenerbahce on Wednesday.

    Cheers!

It's just banter, dude. They're not serious. They wouldn't joke like that about countries they didn't basically respect (you should see some of the threads in "Pub" if you don't believe me). Also, none of us know anything about your team. Some people worry about that and others assume that if they've never heard of you, you can't be that good. Both fairly typical reactions of football fans the world over. Guess we'll see tomorrow night who is right!:50:

All the Borat references and wee digs at Kazakhstan culture. Talking about goats and slitting a sheep's throat. What a load of pish. We should be focusing on this team were playing.

It's not a dig, they sacrificed a sheep for the game.

For me it's the sacrificing before a game a very cruel thing to do. I don't like it all, and no argument that we are eating meat can get me to change that. The same that I think it's wrong to slaughter the animal in some forms of rituals. It should be put down for the reasons of meat production, and not in any rituals or sacrifices. That is my view. I respect your culture and that you believe in this, but I don't like it.

Kazakhstan is a developing country which is finding its way in the world, the only real reference we have to it is Borat just like when bigger countries play us we're stereotyped as drunken, haggis eating, skirt wearers.

Btw they did actually sacrifice a sheep on the park so... :smiley-laughing002:
