Boy that was way too nervy there at the end. Over the 2 legs we deserved to go through but pretty much based on that second half in the first leg and not much else. I thought tonight we were fine in the first half but awful in the second. First half without doing a lot we had the ball and kept the game on their side of the midfield line. While they never really threatened. Second half though we rarely kept the ball and the whole half was very scrappy and nervy and they did have a few half chances to nick a goal. I agree with others who had Lustig down as man of the match. To be fair both Ambrose and Wilson played well I felt also.
Looking forward now to Fridays draw but we will need to be better in the next round to make the group stages thats for sure.

 

why play your team so negatively ? the team played with absolutely no confidence because the manager never showed any confidence in his own team ?

absolutely scandalous performance and i dont blame the players i blame the manager for this

if your the manager and you keep going on about defence defence like that to your players and nothing about attacking then your going to get a lopsided strategy of a game

all the focus was obvioulsy on defending the 1-0 lead, so we played not to conced a goal against a * a side as we could have hoped to play

and just to add we should give that bhoy bangura another chance i was well impressed with him over the 2 legs, he ran our defence ragged

 

Anyone notice how often bangura beat ambrose in the air even sometimes so that he got to chest it and move the ball on with a pass that worries me - and the commentator said wilson may be departing tomorrow i hope to * not maybe i have missed that one but fooking * more of our top players out is not what we need we looked a shambles at times tonight maybe the pitch did play a part but remember these players have played on this sort of pitch before and done well so we cant just blame it on the pitch ...

on the night i would say we were very poor but i really liked lustig i thought he gave his all made a few vital interceptions and good tackles and overall was great and his celebration at the end shows what it means to him a player whos really grew on me recently i thought sammy commons and others who we usually rely on were non exsistent tonight .

Absolutely dreadful tonight, but it's job done and that's absolutely all that matters.

Have just about no fingernails left, but the funny thing is Elfsborg never looked like scoring really. Despite being second best we had the better chances and I can't really remember many great chances for them.

We're through, and hopefully we should get a little more favourable draw in the next round.

Not to me at all. He was right behind Brown and would have had to add about 2 feet to his leg to wrap it around. Didn't even attempt to do it in my eyes, just kicked through the back of him. Also looked like he gave a little kick out when they were on the ground which is what made Brown react more, not the original foul.

 

Those away games to Wigan, QPR and Reading must be hard to resist

 

It's not about ambition, it's about him wanting to be with his family and there's nothing wrong with that at all.

If his family had been up here and were settled here than I have little doubt he would have no intention to move.

Again the pitch had * all to do with this, we were * poor,leave the excuses for that fat Hun in govan that blames the wind.

We beat spartak on a artificial pitch last year.

 

Lenny said that the back four were magnificent? He clearly wasn't watching same game as me either that or he's being sarcastic

 

We can only play other national champions. The other runners etc. are in their own section. I think its called the champions route.
