Watched a bit of these guys at the weekend vs AIK, is their manager the Swedish equivalent of Walter Smith? Seem to be a very negative team/style of play, think if we get one early we'll destroy them....

A lot of folk on here are of the same opinion but I can tell you that is not going to happen. They will come at us with everything they have got. The thought of Bangura scoring and celebrating makes me sick.

It's neither arrogance nor ignorance to suggest that we should comfortably beat every single team, home and away, who we might possibly draw in the qualifiers. We have the biggest stadium, fanbase, history, budget, squad, revenue out of all the teams and if we don't win it will be a massivve shock and failure.

We have Lennon now though and am confident we have mastered away European games and will go through to the group stages once more, where we belong.

p.s. Elfsborg are considerably worse than Helsingborgs were last year. And we pumped them 4-0. They pose zero threat whatsoever, as usual, we are the only ones who can beat us. Their best player is near retirement, and their best striker is quite possibly the worst footballer in human history.
Plus there's the fact that what we say on the internet has no impact on the actual game.

    That's nigh-on a dictionary definition of arrogance.

To say they pose zero threat is just plain ignorance. They looked organized and full of fight last week. They hit the bar and caused a couple of jittery moments in the Celtic defense in the first half. They tried to hold on for draw in the second half and that was their undoing.

We're bigger, richer and better than them in literally every single department. From the ball boys, to the physios (okay maybe no them :86:) to the players. We should, and will, convincingly beat them.
Arrogance is the truth in this case.

My *. They were worse than Ross County. They couldn't string two passes together and their only decent shot was a 30 yarder from a pensioner. They'll be lucky to score against us, as they are exactly the same or worse in quality terms than Helsinki and Helsingborgs, who both scored the sum total of 1 goal against us, between them, in 4 games.

Why you are worried, i'm not sure.

I think one away goal is all we need as well, Elfsborg might score but they won't score 3. I think we'll get it.

Barcelona were as big to us as we are to Elfsborg.

Apolgies if already posted, but apparently Bangura is out "injured".
