Elfsborg let in two goals on set pieces (se below) and were pretty meh. 3 or 4-1 would have been a more accurate final result.

People talking as if were through. In for a big shock on Wednesday. Elfsborg are no mugs.

 

dont like the over confidence beleive every team deserves respect but to say we will be shocked dont think so i beleive in our team

 

I believe our team will see us through but I am under no illusion that this will be a hard game. Although looks like they have a wee set piece problem going on there, Charlie Mulgrew step forward...

 

Always gota give the opposition respect or it comes back to bite on the *.First goal always important and if we get it I think we'l see it out and we're well capable of scoring away

 

I think we just like our chances. Not as if its gonna be a total walk over. I think people just have faith in our team ... But on the other hand people will be keeping quiet because were still basically in pre season and are still trying to get our touch back. Think we've had enough games now that our players should be back on form.

Definitely think theres a touch of overconfidence creeping in here.

Not sure what will happen, but could picture us going out if i'm honest. I really wish we were taking a more substantial lead than 1-0, i fear missed chances will come back to bite us. Hope i'm wrong.

We should win comfortably, they didn't look good going forward on Wednesday at all. Also, we created tonnes of chances. They'll be forced to attack more and we'll score an early goal imo. 2-0 Celtic

 

They were set up to defend though, we didn't see what they are capable of going forward. Bangura had Ambrose beat in the air 9 times out of 10 last week, we can't let him or any other of there strikers get that much joy out of our defenders on Wednesday; as I'm sure he'll have more support.

Although saying that, the only team I've seen Bangura play for on the front foot is us and it didn't seem to be something he is capable of.

In my 'brief' post, I said it's celtic so we always have a chance of getting beat. That is the complete opposite of saying that we have already won the game. If we turn up we should be able to beat them because in comparison to us, they are a weak side. I don't really see how that post could in any way be embarrassing or easily misunderstood as me saying that we're going to hump them.

 

Sounds like Derk & Sammy could go either way. Fingers crossed.

Does anyone know who the possibilities are of facing in the next round (fairly certain we'll be there)? I'm on my phone (some website's are rubbish for them) and when I was looking it up, it looked like there was a possibility of facing Lyon & PSV because their seeding hadn't been decided yet. Is that correct?

 

The key here is creating a threat at their end, particularly early on, and I think we've got enough in the tank to do that.
I think we'll score and that's it finished.
If we have enough of a threat at their end early doors I think the game will play out the way we want it to, them being too scared to lose a goal to give it a real go.
If we sit back early on I'll be worried as they could see that as the opportunity to take control.
If we're brave from the outset I think that will set the tone.
Prediction? 2-0 to the good ghuys!
