looks like they have recently upped the pace so it should be finished by the looks of it by late july early august so it's on target.

That does look impressive, place has a nice backdrop to it in the form of the rolling hills!

Will it be in use before the season starts?

Celtic stated in January that Lennoxtown is on time and on budget and should be open for this coming season.

I think this will make a significant difference in all aspects of training to all the players that will be using it and I believe the better training surface will reduce these recurring hamstring and knee injuries that we see with players that have been largely injury free before coming to Celtic.

it will be a good selling point to bring prospective players to see such a good training ground and also its location amidst the campsie hills will have the foreigners drooling

According to a pal, who is on the project management team, the complex will be a little late in being finished as there have been some problems with getting utitlities to the site, and the impact of the wet weather on the pitches being laid and getting established. Should be there by September though.

He says it is looking great, and will be delivered at half the cost of Murray Park even with equivalent facilities. Seemingly most training centres that Celtic looked at during the design stage include a lot of expensive provision that has turned out to be next to pointless and rarely used.

There are also plans for a "second phase" which is to include even more pitches, accomodation and other facilities to help with residential football courses and, possibly, conferences. No start date for that yet, as far as I know.
