I see so calling someone '* dense' and talking about 'ma burd' being pumped is just a figure of speech? Interesting.....some might take umbrage at that.

Walloper is barely a nasty swear word.....but that was meant to offend ...eye for an eye and all that.

Why do I have concerns for his fitness....I kinda put those points out there already.

Like I've said already....I hope he does well here and my suspicions are proved wrong.

Fo'sho, and he looks well capable of a goal or two, which is vital for us right now without a goal scorer.

    Kyogo. A phenomenon
There was an Ajax fan on here a few weeks ago who said that in his homeland, the guy was referred to as "Man Of Glass," which was interesting in two ways - firstly, because to be fair it was * hilarious as a nickname, and secondly because it suggested to me the idea of it being "just one bad injury to his back" was, perhaps, being overly generous.

I hope more than anything this guy proves the name wrong, as he looked quality for 30 minutes. However, that was the guts of a month ago.

    EDIT - post was:

Strange one. He was only at Ajax for two season in his second spell and last season he appeared in 43 of Ajax's 58 games in all competitions which on the face of it appears to be a very good return given the competition for his position at Ajax and the fact that he wasn't really suited to their play, apparently. He started half of their Eredivisie games and made 13 appearances from the bench (so he played in 30/34 league games). He played in all 8 of their European games (5 starts, another 3 from the bench). And he had the joint highest number of appearances in domestic cup competitions (KNVB Cup and the Johan Cruijff Schaal - 5 starts). So it look like they were only a handful of games he didn't feature in at all. Certainly, if he can do that at Celtic, I'd be happy enough.

He obviously missed a lot of his first season back at Ajax but I'd have thought that Ajax fans would've been understanding of that.

Is it possible that the Ajax fan above means he was "made of glass" in the sense that he didn't commit to challenges, etc.? A bad injury, especially a broken back, can have that psychological effect on players (which, to be honest, might be worse than just picking being out of the side now and then). I don't know. Just a thought. :smiley-laughing002:

Did he have any recurring injuries during his time in the Netherlands that we've overlooked, Johan?

That would be massive boost for tomorrow if he can play. He is exactly the type of player we need tomorrow.

He better be * fit to play. We don't spend £3m quid on someone for them to miss the most important game of our season through a stupid injury. Get an injection or some *, I don't care, but he seriously better play or theres not much point in him being here. I cant phone up my work and say "I've got a niggle in my leg, cant come to work today, I know its a very important day etc but Im just not fit enough to turn up. Sorry about that. Please still pay me though". Id get sacked.

Theres no excuse for him not playing unless he actually cant walk. I played five a sides with three cracked ribs for weeks on end. You just get on with it, its not that bad.
