We could have had Hooper tied down to a long term deal and this would not habe happend, instead of doing what the club has done. If we get knocked out on wednesday we will have lost out on 20 million pound.

PAOK are capable of getting a 0-0 at home. Finn will probably be looking at a move at the end of the season, so maybe looks at the new contract as being unnecessary.

How do you know the deal on offer wa good enough??? (the way we have been offering * contacts in the past and offers on players has me thinking it ould not have been good enough). We should have offered him a deal before last season after the way he had banged the goals in anyway.

Hooper did not want to stay. There is zero chance that we didn't offer him a big contract. * about with Hooper is something that Lenny would walk over.

We could have kept him and played him in these games though... Which in hindsight was the thing to do.

The offer only extended his deal by one year but put up his money right away.....stay just one more year for more money.
He couldn't get away from us quick enough end of.

You mean if the article is *? Probably not. vi.nl is a VERY reliable website, who actualy do interview these players unlike many other sites. They have journalists at every big club.

The way I read it, he's not sure if an extention of his contract would be in the best interest for him, with a couple of clubs after him atm. But he states he hasn't heard anything new about any offers, so he expects to be still a Heerenveen player this season.

Him and Wilson. Wilson is the one I am more aggrieved over, truth be told. Surely to * we should have been saying "Kelvin, you're homesick, but you are * staying put for another fortnight, end of. You owe us that much."

Especially after how well we saw him play against the Swedes in comparison to....others, defensively.

Letting him go was astronomically * stupid.

"CELTIC have widened the net in their hunt for a goalscorer - with Swiss striker Innocent Emeghara the latest name added to Neil Lennon’s list of targets.

Record Sport can reveal Lennon and chief executive Peter Lawwell are discussing a possible swoop for the 24-year-old Siena hitman as they attempt to nail down a ready-made replacement for Gary Hooper.

We can also reveal Celtic’s interest in Heerenveen’s £5million-rated Icelander Alfred Finnbogason has cooled following the submission of a latest scouting report from star finder John Park. It’s understood Park does not believe the huge fee demanded by the Dutch club represents value for money for the player who is regarded purely as a penalty-box poacher.

Celtic are now unlikely to return to that particular table unless the asking price is reduced dramatically and Lennon’s focus has moved on to alternatives – with Emeghara’s name now featuring prominently."

So we are looking for another striker that plays outside the box to match every other striker we have..........sorry but if thats the case Park, Lennon and Lawwell are * clueless and with this lot in charge we are basically *

Because at the time he had 2 years left on his current deal.
It was said at the time more money one year extra and he said no thanks.
