when is the next deadline to register players for playoff?

 

This Monday (the 12th). Not much time at all.

Then a further player 24 hours before the first leg, so 19th/20th depending on the draw.

 

In that case we definitely need to sign at least one of our targets this weekend....hopefully a Striker (and I do not mean Kevin Doyle). then we still have time to register another player before the game in 2 weeks

 

Aye think we need a first choice striker and possibly a Wilson replacement before Monday, then someone else after that depending on what Lenny thinks is a priority (after those two) be it a left back, centre mid or another striker.

 

Am hopeful that we might get another lb to go along the two strikers we get

Thing is, Lennon did say he was an option and also didn't say it was bullshit like he usually would if it was just bullshit. He also said there'd be movement if we got past Elfsborg. So if there is any truth in this, I'd expect to hear more in the next couple of days. Considering we also drew Shakhtyor Karaganda I'm sure potential signings will view that as effectively in to the group stages (not writing Shakhtyor off but we really should get past them.)

 

Think when it comes to celtic no media related transfer news is good news as they get their business done very quietly, so i see just now like the eye of the storm and we are gonna be surprised with a signing by monday! i just hope its a quality one

 

we dont really need a signing for the next qualifier, id happily wait untill we are guaranteed in the champions league to attract the very best

 

Why wait? No offence to them, but it will take a miracle really for this team from Kazakhstan to put us out. Might as well sign a striker or another player before the tie, make it even more difficult for the other team to progress and it will give the new signing(s) time to bed in to the team.

 

Maybe getting that Kazakh side in the next round hasn't been such a good thing, as they are a side of minnows and the board might feel that we don't need to splash out on a new forward to beat them.

 

This is what I hope Lennon (or the board) isn't thinking. We aren't through yet and I think we desperately need a striker before the next qualifier after what we saw against Elfsborg.

 

I think we will beat them even with the squad we have so dont mind if we wait until after these games then sign some real quality once the group stage money is in the bank. I'd be ragin if lennon doesnt get the rest of the money weve made from transfers and keep the rest of the cl money from last year and this year in the bank
