Anyone setting off fireworks in a stadium, or bringing smoke bombs to a game of football, or breaking SFA and UEFA rules(they are there for a reason, you know) for the sake of it every other weekend, is an idiot in my book.

The Green Brigade are angels compared to what went on the past.

Absolutely. And I'm not for one second suggesting the majority of people within the Green Brigade are not decent individuals and collectively have done a fantastic job with improving the atmosphere at Celtic Park significantly. I'm just saying that you can't imply all the negative issues raised in the past by other Celtic fans like you and me, and further highlighted by an official statement from our club today, are not legitimate and people are out to 'get' the Green Brigade. For what it's worth, I don't think the Green Brigade will get shut down and I think the situation will be resolved. But that is because for the first time ever - based on the statement - key individuals within the Green Brigade are doing something untypical of them and that is directly engaging with the club. Part of their downfall on some issues has been this overzealous attitude to be seen as 'ultra', 'the outsider', 'the rebel'. Those who continue to defy the club, and cause unnecessary damage to both their fellow fans and physically breaking seats within Paradise, are not welcome at the club in my view. Celtic has always been a club for the people, but respect is always a two way street.

Hundreds of seats are broken whenever the fans feel the need to do "lateral movement". That's what the board are mostly unhappy about.

All of which can't be controlled. They are actions that happen outwith the clubs control. The club have to be seen to be abiding with health and safety laws.

This "Green Brigade aren't bigger than the club" and they think they'rebetter than everyone else" nonsense just strikes me as petty jealousy to be honest.

the GB aren't even responsible for this but they are getting the flack for it, bit unfair imo.

Oh, I thought this was only for European games. In that case, there is not much Celtic can do about it (other than lobbying with the SPL).

Teams in Turkey, Italy, Greece, Germany, and parts of Eastern Europe must get reported all the time... Do they?

Why would Celtic fans be jealous of other Celtic fans?

Again you're deflecting responsibility. You're putting the emphasis on the other fans. This isn't about the Jock Stein stand, the Main Stand or the North Stand. This is about several issues which the club have officially raised that are related to the Green Brigade.

    'Hundreds of seats', really?

I find that difficult to believe, but as I have never been in a section performing, errr, 'lateral movement' I could be wrong.

With all the real problems in football these days (not least of which being the greed of it's administrators) I just find it tiresome that UEFA feel 'lateral movement' is an issue that needs dealing eith.

Although, if UEFA went nuts and decided to give us a European ban until we sorted ourselves out (highly unlikely) not many people would be backing the GB then!
