And it would only take one more big mistake for him to actually score.

True. The biggest worry for me was if that happened last night and he scored. I feel like one goal from us next week will win the tie, and I think that is very likely to happen.

I wish I was just as confident as some of you guys. I do not often post anything negative about the team, but I thought we were very bad last night until Ledley came on.

We are absolutely shocking at the back, a half decent striker would have put a couple past us easy last night. Get mulgrew back in at CB, give him a run in that position.

I think we now have proof that Stokes is not good enough to replace Hooper or be a key man in Europe.

It was said in jest, really. We know he's a threat, but I'm sure we can deal with him and his team-mates in Sweden.

I'm also sure that Ledley will start in Sweden. The rest of the team will be getting fitter and stronger with every minute they play.

    I'm quietly confident.

Izaguirre had a stormer last night, as did Sammy. Stokes was poor, Wilson was quite poor, Forrest and Kayal also didn't have great games. Overall, we completely outplayed Elfsborg and I see no difficulty in beating them in Sweden.

I think Forrest gets affected too much by his misses.

I actually quite liked the way we set up last night. I think that system has potential.

Stokes was the weak link for me. He needs a partner beside him or he gets lost too often. And Kayal was pish. Apart from that daft back-heel moment the defence wasn't as bad as everyone is making out.

Sammy, Commons and Lustig played very well but we need a striker pronto!

To me elfsborg took that as a victory 0-0 would have suited them but the way they where acting at the end like 1-0 wasn't too bad especially after the keeper cought it from a corner
Near the end they acted like it was a game winner

I know there not a big club but all the trash talk from the media and the bangura situation for them to near enough celebrate getting beat 1-0 was embarrassing

How is everyone feeling for the away leg? Just seen the aftermatch interviews on uefa.com and Elfsborg seem pretty confident/sure of themselves. Makes me a little nervous, but I'm hoping they have to come at us a little more and leave an extra man upfront...leaving a few spaces open for us to exploit.

I think we should have a formation of 4-5-1 or 4-2-3-1 next week. I would put Sammy on his own upfront and if Big Derk is training well and getting some gametime have him as part of a five man midfield. From watching the game on the net last night, I think we will create chances like last night and be solid at the back. I am still confident we can win the tie.
