    * I hate this attitude. We struggle to beat a team on a significantly smaller budget than ours, whose star striker is a reject from our own squad, and anyone who isn't happy with the performance is spoilt? From what exactly? Both Neil Lennon and Gordon Strachan took us further in Europe from the "MON days" anyway!

    I agree. I tuned in around 40 minutes and he never bothered, looked like he did in his Celtic days. The only time he made a good move Izzy made sure he didn't get by. A well-earned yellow there. Other than that Wilson looked liked he was playing with a child.

    Sammy was MOTM, they couldn't cope with him other than chopping him down at every turn.

    Marginally further in the CL, yes.

    O'Neill got us to a European final, beating the likes of Stuttgart, Blackburn, Liverpool and Celta Vigo along the way.

    Also, we had plenty of chances to score and were unlucky, with Stokes having a couple of chances and Forrest hitting the bar.

    Why wouldn't he. Him and Sammy were by far our two best players tonight and both were very important to us in Europe last year. In fact, Commons should have won POTY domestically as well.

    I thought we played quite well,especially in the 2nd half.Just a wee bit rusty upfront at times.First serious competitive game of the season so never expected us to be on top of our game.Wilson,Brown and Sammy all played well.Probably one of the best games Ive seen Sammy play without scoring a goal.
    Never thought much of Elfsborg.Team full of hackers who never deserved to finish the game with 11 men.

    Why are people not happy we won the game? There the swedish champions, did you really think were going to pump 4 or 5 past them? They have a decent defense, and * strikers. They played our tactics vs barca. Defend and try to counter.. just they have agent bangura :56:

    You shut up why should i accept a * performance gainst a team as someone pointed out a low budget with a celtic reject upfront . They never looked like causing us problems so why should be happy with a 1 goal lead from us being at home its no that im no happy we won and kept a clean sheet iam i just think we should have created more
