On topic though I reckon we'll win at home then maybe draw 1-1 or win 2-1 away. Pretty confident but it's not that I think elfsborg are poor, just a www hunch.

Oh right, used up the 3 strikes :bbpd:

I'm not being over confident just confident,I don't think this team are mugs but they have been pretty poor domestically and have no standout players, plus we've been there and done it with pretty much this exact squad and beaten the top team in Sweden last season so we are familiar with where we're going and what we have to do and I don't think elfsborg are gonna get in our way...

Any win as long as they don't score at Celtic park as I think we'll score out there anyway...

Weird that the Swedish guy has criticised everything about our country and league except for Celtic....

Keeping taking dig's though mate it's just making me even more anxious to shock Europe again this year.

IMO they don't have any players who would walk into our team having taken a look at them.

Based on that we should beat them. Lets hope we are on our game.

Currently, Daver is found * himself about this match - mainly because of the fact they are wellin to their season, and our options up front don't give me much confidence at present.

I'd agree we could do with a fresh face in for this game. I believe we can add one up to 24hrs before game

Cheers. Seems reasonably priced. So I think I'll get myself a ticket.

We should be packing this game out. If we want the club to bring players in we should be making paradise a fantastic atmosphere....a cauldron!

    60000. Come on bhoys

I didn't see any of these "quality" Swedish teams playing in the CL last season? Also would any of these "quality" Swedish teams make it to the last 16 of the CL like we did last year? I doubt it. Also if we want to talk history, we have actually won the European Cup once in 1967, and were then runners-up in 1970. As recently as 2003 we were in the UEFA Cup final, and even the huns made the final 5 years ago. Also Sweden are only one place ahead of Scotland in the rankings, and you're league is not " many points" ahead of us :bbpd:

Your league has no teams of quality ours has one of the biggest clubs in World football.

Enjoy your next week and a half on here, you can hide away in Swedish club forums with 4 registered fans on them once we've knocked Elfsborg out :50:

:56::56::56: When was the last time a Swedish club were in the Champions League Group Stages? With 5-6 quality sides you should be making the Knockout Stages most years! :smiley-laughing002: You'd think you just described Serie A or something.

Champions League: BBC Scotland to televise Celtic qualifier

BBC Scotland will broadcast the second leg of Celtic's Champions League third qualifying round tie against Elfsborg.

What about the first leg? Will it be on TV?

Historically, IFK Gothenburg (Only side to win a European Trophy) but they've not been great recently. They have 4 or 5 clubs which I'd equate to the size of Dundee United.
