Why's everybody exaggerating how tough this is going to be?

This is Elfsborg. Who's recent jaunts into Europe have ended in defeats to Scandinavian giants Aaeslunds and AC Horsens. The former being a team who Motherwell easily dispatched of in Europe recently.

The Swedish league is an absolute diddy league with no players of note. FFS Bangura makes an impression in that league.

I expect nothing less than a win here if the boys are professional. Which they should be.

The real test will come in the next round against the likes of Austria Vienna,etc..

To be fair they couldn't guarantee the match would happen, due to us having to play a round before it.

Would have made way more sense to put this game on the Season Card instead of Cliftonville considering there's only a week between both ties. I'm worried we won't get more than 35,000.

Light Green is better than Dark Green on FM. Light means the player is a "natural" in the position, Dark means "accomplished". Natural is better than Accomplished. So Ambrose is a CB rather than a DMC on FM :50:

I apologise if you already knew this, your post was unclear whether you did or didn't.

Ambrose is the worst player in the * world on FM.

This could be a tough game, but I don't see it being any tougher than Helsingborgs last season.

    Forrest Brown Kayal Commons
    Samaras Stokes

With the formation being adaptive and fluid with Sammy more out wide and Commons between the lines.

Wouldn't really play the likes of Van Dijk, Ledley and Mulgrew if they've not played in a couple of weeks.

    2-0 Celtic.

Are the likes of van Dijk, Ledley and Mulgrew going to be fit for this?

    Forster

    Lustig van Dijk Wilson Izaguirre

    Forrest Brown Ledley Samaras

    Balde Stokes

I'd love to be able to play that, depends on the fitness of the aforementioned players though.

I would much rather we had ledley back for this game.
I want us to line up in a 4-2-3-1 formation at home.

    Forster
    Lustig Ambrose Wilson Izzy
    Brown Kayal
    Forrest Ledley Sammy
    Stokes

Give us good protection in front of the back four in brown and kayal and ledley when defending.

Then really gives sammy/forrest licence to roam forwards. From what i have read elfsborgs strength is their midfield so we need to be strong there. We could also remove Ledley if he isn't fit with Commons, i am still unsure as to how we should go because we are at home, whether it should be commons/forrest/sammy and stokes all attacking or whether we should keep the midfield more compact with Ledley.

Commons needs to start, set up 3 goals in the last 2 games. By far our most creative player.

Can people please shut up with this over the top optimism?

We are favourites. Very few people here have any idea this mob are, without the aid of google. If the Helsingborg side of last year are anything to go by then they will be a very good test for us and it will be a close tie.

Off course if we play our best we won't concede :87: we've played 2 competitive fixtures this year against an amatuer level side - we're absolutely not going to be playing our best and that's exactly where the main issue with this tie lies. If this game was a couple of months from now I would be confident of winning home and away.

The Season Ticket Price is an insult to everyone who bothered to back the club for the entire season. A pathetic concession for us folk.

I've decided not to go, If I continue to put up with * like this by paying the money, then the pricing structure will never change.

I am a bit * off that the Monchengladbach game is on the season ticket instead of this one. Not that surprised mind you.

I won't be at this one either, wasn't able to queue up after the Cliftonville game because I had to get my supporter's bus and haven't been able to order a ticket since. My seat has also already been bought by some * anyway :smiley-laughing002: Just going to leave it.

Yep, are you sure it has been bought? I checked online to see the prices and I seen my ticket is reserved until Monday Lunchtime; if you book online it's a £1.50 additional charge and that * me off even more!!

It might not have been actually, I'm probably just being a *. I don't usually book tickets online, when I went in to opt for my seat it is coming up red, do I need to phone up or what? Maybe I just haven't set my account up correctly..

Anyway regardless this game should have been on the season ticket for me. I can accept the play-off (if we get there) not being on it but the first two qualifiers would have been enough for me even.
