Anthony Stokes

Stokes is better at defending than Armstrong is, despite Armstrong being the fitter player. Stokes helps the fullback, Armstrong defends the middle of the pitch.

It's not all about fitness.

 

Either play him or sell him on to a club. There's no point in loaning him or keeping him if either the management don't fancy him or the player wants to move on. This is going to drag on and I can see this window passing us by (yet again)

The other 2 have shown potential and played very well for us too.

I've been saying it for months that it was a vendetta between Deila and Stokes, there was nothing else it could be, for Deila to be acting so horrible towards Anthony.I knew these stories of not training hard enough and boozing were pure bullshit.Stokes has always gave his best for Celtic, and to try and loan out one of best strikers in the middle of a campaign is utter madness or badness or both by Deila.

Dropping Anthony just for having it out with him ( and probably rightly ) shows you how small minded Deila is, and he is not fit to be our manager. Dropping Stokes for nothing has already bit Deila in the * with us being out of Europe after a horrendous and hideous campaign.

Whatever happens to Anthony, I still hope he outlasts this conman who is masquerading as a manager, and that Anthony still has a future with Celtic FC.

I think they have, and this is what they've decided is the best way forward. Call me a crazy optimist, but I think Stokesy will make a huge comeback for us next season

 

Still think him and griffiths would make a brilliant partnership. Hopefully he goes gets games and goals and when he comes back gets his head straight. Big talent who just hasnt fufilled that potential yet but a 20 goal a season man when fit in a front 2 no doubt.

Agreed. Stokes was the conveyor belt that fed Hooper.
Stokes playing just behind the main striker is undoubtedly his best position.
He was just shoe horned into left wing by Deila to accommodate GMS, Johansen and Armstrong, yet Anthony should his versatility once again by excelling on the left.

Ok, try this. "Anthony" (I must know the truth as I'm using his Sunday name) told me he loves Ronny, best manager he's worked with, if only things were different. He told me that at lunch last week.
