It's not his professionalism that's the problem? He's got a history of showing up late after trips home, taking to social media to take jabs at his manager, and has breached discipline at the club hotel in the past?

I'd say his professionalism is exactly what the problem is.

I just don't think he has the mentality required to be a player at a club like ours, and unfortunately he won't realise it until it's too late most likely.

The penny will drop when he's sitting in the home changing rooms of a no-name club like Inverness, wondering what the * went wrong.

He moved them out first, now it's stokes turn to go out on loan.

I think he's being a pretty successful player for us for 5 years or so mate. That's something that a lot of players can't achieve.

With all the young players at the club, professional role models are essential.

We are a huge club that shouldn't stand for unprofessionalism from our players.

Seem to me Stokes has had plenty of opportunities and only he is to blame for the demise of his Celtic career.

He also brought one of them in for more than we bought Stokes for. My point with that is that's £4m worth of strikers that in 2 seasons didn't reach 20 goals between them. Stokes is of a higher quality than that.

John Hughes on A.Stokes: "Inverness would be the best place for him. There's not much to do so I can keep an eye on him & I can batter him"

    He's not wrong though :smiley-laughing002:

Agreed. But you are too quick to jump down Stokes's throat.

We have stood for much worse from Griffiths, Ciftci and Commons.
Stokes is being pilloried and railroaded out of the door because of a personality clash with Deila.

Speculation. More likely Stokes has had it out with Deila in front of the rest of the players, and Deila is unforgiving.

So, you claim that Anton's post is mere speculation, then you go on to speculate yourself! :smiley-laughing002:

    Tell you what though, here's some facts about Stokes behaviour that aren't speculation;

*Was left out of the final game of the season by Lenny in 2011 for breaching discipline at the club's hotel.

*In December of 2012 he was spotted at the funeral of IRA member Alan Ryan. Lennon warned him against damaging the reputation of the club by attending events like this.

*He also * off Lennon due to his attitude during rehab for an ankle injury.

*In March 2013 he says in an interview that he "doesn't really care what the Celtic manager thinks of him personally"

*In June 2013 he was arrested for an alleged assault, for which he's due in court shortly.

*In February 2015 he returned late from a trip to Dublin and was left out of the side to face Inter.

*In November 2015 he has a sly dig at the manager on social media.

Your claim that both Griffiths and Commons have worse track records is laughable at best.

That's a good point about Ciftci if we're talking about professionalism. Kicked Broony in the head and bit a *. Role model :smiley-laughing002:

    Ciftci, Commons and Griffiths...do explain?

There is an element of speculation, no doubt, but there is also a course of unprofessional conduct that Stokes has followed since he's been at the club.

If I'm honest...I'm fed up with this whole Stokes thing, it's blatant he has an attitude problem and isn't going to get a game because of it. I respect Ronny for standing his ground on these things.

Aye Commons and Griffiths have shown signs of ill-discipline, but they obviously work their socks off. The sooner Stokes is gone, the better.

Each of those players has had single incidences nd immediately apologised and not repeated it. I really hope Stokes is training hard and applying himself, as if he is he'd be a great asset for the team, but I'm sorry, you don't get the amount of smoke without some fire that Stokes is giving off.

As for a blowout in front of the players? No chance mate. Not a hope in * that wouldn't have been splattered all over EVERY back page in Scotland under 'CELTIC CRISIS!!!' headlines

is this a guess? are you related to any of the players that were present? what annoys me and many other who are in the know why wont Deiai just come out and say what happened that day and what it was over ? The way he has punished Stokes since is out of order. I understand what happens in the dressing stays in the dressiness room but Delia needs to practice this.

Wasn't a Celtic player at the time. If that matters.
