I took the mcgeady example because I just find it hypocritically and unfair if you dislike a certain player who decided not to pick your country and on the other hand want other players, who got the choice between a few, to take your national side. Not aimed at you gerry, but there are a few celtic supporters disliking mcgeady because they are aggrieved of his decision. they still bear a grudge nowadays.

In switzerland like 30/40% of the youth players make a decision against switzerland and it's one of the most normal things in life...

    here we * go AGAIN!

i was annoyed at what mcgeady done, but we don't need him. IMO he's a bit of a sand dancer but I hope he comes good.

Anyway this english guy, agbonlahor, he'd be excellent up front with Kris Boyd or Garry O'Connor

Not for me. I hate seeing Scotland being treated like some kind of a fall back for players who might not get picked for England or any other big country.

The guy has probably never set foot in Scotland.

Im not saying you but everyone treats McGeady different. And outsiders can see it. I can easily see it and so can Marco since neither of us are scotland fans.

I see people praise Maloney all the time and put down McGeady even though Maloney left Celtic. I wonder why. They both had a mediocre season. If your not doing it consciously than your doing it sub-consciously.

Not saying this to you tartan terror.. Saying it in general.

    * it, if he's good enough then I'm glad he's chose Scotland. Had Rooney decided to chose Scotland because of his scottish gran(I think) then no one would complain. Could he not also have played for Nigeria?

The thing about this guy is that he is seen as a future England cap, would be some coup.

TBH I dont think we will get him, MON took responsibility for his u21 absence so they airs prob cleared, and im sure he'll want to give England a try - and hes already rejected Nigeria.

Maybe not. I'll put it another way then. Does he want to play for Scotland because he considers himself a Scotsman or just because he wants to play international football?

Anyway if the SFA want a better national team they should be investing more at root leves instead of trying to poach English players
