We've been hammered in pre-season before and in the final analysis it meant * all.

Would we all rather the score hadn't been 6-2? Sure. But when it's all boiled down at the end of the season this result will be meaningless and forgotten about. The real stuff starts next week.

Pre season friendly results are nothing to be getting yourself worked up about. It's all been said before, but they are just for fitness. Relax and look forward to another League title, challenge for the treble and what will hopefully be another exciting run in Europe.

We aren't playing for anything but fitness. We had a great Pre Season in 2009.and it didn't mean * when came to competitive games.

To be honest, what annoys me more than the result is hearing that Dylan McGeouch was played at wing-back again in this match. That's a joke. If Neil Lennon isn't willing to give the bhoy a chance in the first team in his natural position then he should put Dylan out on loan to a club that will. Otherwise the lad's potential is going to be wasted.

I couldn't agree more with this.

The lad does not have the pace to be a RB or a wing back.

I share your optimism about the end of the season.

Thing is though - you honestly think Lennon and co would have been skipping into the dressing room after the game, throwing lollipops and candy at the players telling them not to worry, it's only pre-season? Nah - he'd have been less than impressed with certain elements of these games past.

If he's every right not to be impressed, as do the supporters.

    :50:

And, aye - playing McGouch at RB is just lunacy.

I think McGeouch isn't the player some think he is personally. He's stagnated as well.

As has been suggested it will have been to get some game time in his legs and also probably to teach him there's more to playing football than having quick feet and some nice touches - he has to learn where to be and when.

I dont blame lenny for putting McGeouch at RB today, Mouyokolo had picked up a knokc and we had no other CB or RB on the bench.

But aye, he shouldnt play there again.

    Pretty shocking result.

We got humped by Ajax last year though so I'm not going to read into it too much. Furth are a poor side though.

Union Berlin on Saturday I want to see the team out that will play next Wednesday don't give me this shot that somebody may get injured we should set out to beat berling on Saturday and get us hyped up to beat them next Wednesday

I think that's a load of * to be honest. We were averaging about 4 goals a game last season for the last 6 months or so and we also had our highest scoring European season in years.

As well as creating a lot against Juve while not taking it.

One of these myths that people just keep saying is true.

You mean 4 goals against some of the poorest SPL teams in the last 20 years, frankly its nothing to write home about.

You can only beat what's put in front of you. To not be pleased with averaging around 4 goals a game (at home I think it was?) is mental and to try and play that down seems strange to me.
