    Good player and excellent fee.
I feel he is a bit over-rated on here and was a bit suspect in Europe. Time will tell how he does in England against much better opposition. Good luck to him.

I kinda get this and feel the same. Maybe because we've been resigned to it, every day, for month's. It's sounding like a good deal with us sticking some add ons in and we do what we always do, move on..

You must be the most miserable * on here today, glad Virgil is gone and in the Ronny thread wanting him punted ASAP:rolleyes:

he will never be worth 30m, maybe some mug club down there will spend 20m on him, European clubs in leagues which are not house of cards stuff wouldnt pay more than what we are getting for him now

defensively he is not great and that side of his game will get found out down there

Now we are seeing all the 'overrated anyway', 'couldn't wait to leave' 'not fit to wear the jersey' comments flooding in:56:

    Our fans, honestly.

No chance he'll be 'found out' in England.

Give him a year or two he'll be viewed as one of the best down there. He has nothing lacking in his game.

How is that? He is a * and wanted to * off last year, and made it blatantly obvious, his performances this season have been sub par a clear indication of his lack of interest in the club. Wait for the typical pish when he leaves, 'Celtic will always have a special place' blah blah blah, hope he festers on the bench in Southampton then gets punted to a pish team in a couple of year with his career in tatters, *. Would have been fine for him to leave but the way he was blabbing and talking about it showed a clear lack of respect for the fans and club.

I think he will be a top centre half in the EPL.
    Gutted to see him go!

Aye. As Strachan said, you see the defenders down there and most of them rent as good as Virgil

From Celtics point of view he needs to do well. If he flops we'll struggle to get that kind of money again, not to mention players like him won't join in the first place.

He's been our best player this season, like he was last season and the season before.

Do you want liars spouting pish playing for us? of course he wanted to leave.

He is probably earning about £10k a week here playing against utter dross every week. Who wouldnt want to go and be paid £60k or whatever a week and play against Everton, Newcastle, Tottenham, Aston Villa, Man U, Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool etc in front of 30/40/50/60/70,000 per week and players like Costa, Hazard, Aguero, Toure instead of Gary Harkins and Niall McGinn. :smiley-laughing002:

exactly, hes been wanting away for 2 years now, has done * all for us really, been pish in Europe and its not as if we needed him to win the league, excellent business getting nearly 12m for him

that video of Ambrose shows how good a defender who is decent on the ball can look in scotland

hes never a top centre back in a million years, isnt good enough defensively and will get roasted down there, none of this cantering out the back against outclassed opposition every week

You'd think this was a guy with no scope to improve..
Being tested, every single week, he'll in my opinion be getting rave reviews down here within a few month's and call ups to the dutch squad..

Within 3 year's, i'd lay money he goes on to better things for more than we got today..
