Possibly but I don't question his passion for us, he's moving to improve his career, not because he isn't passionate about Celtic.

For a guy that "doesn't give a *" and "wasn't trying hard enough because he's leaving ". He looked * scunnered by what was happening on the park in front of him.

Although I'm just a Fanboy so it means nothing.

I agree. You could see the frustration etched over his face while guys that will be here long-term had chucked it. The reason he was caught out of position a couple of times was down to the total lack of creativity and movement in midfield meaning he had to bring it forward to create something.

For people to doubt his class is incredible, he's trying to cover for guys that can't even do the basics.

Lustig is made of glass and we are yet to replace Van Dijk.

It reminds me of Robbie Keane when he played for us. Guy would make good runs but the ball never reached.

He was 5 steps ahead of anything around him.

If he goes we'll spend a portion of the funds received on a replacement, you know that.

As it stands, that's our back line.

Forgive me if I'm not feeling in any way positive about our team.

As it stands being the key phrase. We'll bring someone in to replace him, you know that.

Yup, just like we replaced Denayer with Boyata.

Will he be better than Ambrose/Mulgrew/O'Connell? We better * hope so. If we don't sign a left back as well we may as well pull out of next year's qualifiers. How * long does it take to sign a left back.

Yeah, a small thing I've noticed is that he always plays the ball in front of the intended target so as to move onto it. Not the case when he is receiving the ball from many of his team-mates. The guy oozes class, will be a steal for whoever gets him for £10-12mil.

How long did it take Denayer to get to the level he was when he left?

He was part of the CL qualification attempt(s) last year, ye know.......

About 3/4 weeks from when he started playing regularly.

Don't know what your point is here, I was agreeing with Daibhi we'll get a replacement in so we won't have Boyata/Ambrose as a backline.

Wasn't having a go at you, it was aimed at those waiting to pounce on "we'll be replacing van Dijk with a £1m signing blah blah blah".

We'll replace him but who we replace him with is another question entirely.

No chance of them being as talented or bringing as much to the side as he did. A case of taking another step down in quality once again. Which is quite depressing.

Eredivisie team of the season 2012/13.

Could we get someone like that again?

'We dont need to sell him'

So if we do then we should expect most of it to go back on the squad ? Somehow I doubt it.

I seen this summer, Feyenoord signed two defenders in the Eredivise who I thought would have been good for us Botteghin and van der Heijden. Only actually noticed about a week ago that they had signed them two, we could have got them, not as good as Van Dijk but 2 of the better defenders in that League.

With the success of Van Dijk coming from the Eredivisie maybe we should take a look at some of the other defenders there who might be suited to playing for us.

    Jeffrey Gouweleeuw of AZ Alkmaar
Jan-Arie van der Heijden of Vitesse
    Eric Botteghin of Groningen
    Ramon Leeuwin of Cambuur
