Not great for his future with these performances. Thought myself the Milan match at the start of the year would have been a one off but this season and the standard he has shown throughout our brief european campaign so far has not been great.

Has the deal already been made between us and Southampton or Everton? Who knows.
Personally I would take the 10 mil for him right now.

Good luck to one of the best CB's we've ever had.

We'll never be able to replace him in my opinion. We'll be going for a Loovens or a Majstorovic.

At least he stayed until the qualifiers were over.

Wish him well at Southampton, or wherever he ends up.

I think it shows where we are as a club and league right now, that he looked to stroll it at times, even look too good for this league, but was shown to be average on the European stage.

No doubt the big man has class about him, and maybe we were holding him back?

I can understand people claiming he's been average in Europe, but people telling him to 'get tae *' need a word with themselves. This guy is our best player and hasn't thrown his toys out of the pram looking for a move like so many players do.

We're holding back his development as a player each day we keep him here.

Good luck to him, I still think he'll do well in the Premier League.

He looked tonight like a man who's head was already in England.

had potential still a bit rough around the edges, I feel he got a bit cocksure of himself in recent times , he started getting buttered up by english press and clubs and imo his heads up his * he may go to southampton and make a name for himself (and I hope he does) but more likely he may simply dwindle away like many Celtic players who have headed south before him

    anyway best of luck

Got to feel sorry for him tonight. Mulgrew on one side, Boyata on the other.

he threw out his toys tonight. no interest in being here for over a year, you can tell with his performances, thinks he's better than what he is. shoulda got rid last year as it was obvious he was wanting a move south then

This it utter * that he "hasn't wanted to be here" or "looked uninterested". Utter * *.

He's our best player, worth a lot of money and attracting interest from teams in better leagues. Thus, this petty insecurity kicks in for some of our fans "AYE HE'S A PRIMMADONA FULL AE HIMSELF!", * give over. He has been nothing but passionate on the pitch, and is one of the few genuine talents we have. Stop throwing your toys out of the pram because you know he's going to move on one day. It's your own insecurity

I agree with this, although I also agree that the idea that he's one of our best ever defenders, or a 'legend' is ridiculous.
