If you take out the kids and sell, VVD, Scepovic, Stokes, release Derk and maybe McGregor sold too, then it leaves us with a squad of 19 including the GK so only 17 "first team" outfield players need that number to 22 minimum, we could play circa 60 games this season if you get to cup finals/semis, then maybe last 32/16 of EL/CL ronny said his ideal number of quality was 22 players, well he has 17 if he makes the sales mentioned earlier.

it isn't like wanyama, van dijk, hooper and forster are/were forced out the door? these players signed with us with the intention of leaving when a team down south offered them first team football. if we start holding onto players when they want to move on, young players will be less likely to see us a good place to develop.

Looking at the success of benfica and porto in recent seasons, I think our current model is our best way of getting better
