I thought Janko was a free?

Anyway, I also doubt he'd get £10m to spend, you have to factor in agent fees, signing on fees and wages. I do agree that he should get an increased budget if we qualify. Especially if we sell Van Dijk.

If we are waiting on 3/4 signings coming in then this just becomes another transition season.... Lawwell will be signing from the bargain basement again MARK MY WORDS - if we spend anything that is.

    Well, obviously.

However you'd be wanting some of it to go towards a solid replacement for VVD and a couple others.

    Travelled as did Lustig.

Some journalists have a peach of a brass neck. The same guy that printed that * will go on as if he didn't say a thing as well. Wholly unaccountable for the * they are printing.

I wish we do this but I can't see it happening, we will panic buy yet again like we have done time and time again or even get pointless loan deals in. Maybe get that young lad in from Dynamo but we need another left back, centre half or even two and get another forward in.

We can only hope we will spend, but I can see us keeping it for another day.

We have not spent any money for a long time, and what I mean by that is we have not covered the cost in player sales, even when Lennon was here we done the same.

If we don't qualify then VVD will be sold to cover costs and we will get * all and downgrade even more.

You definitely don't get handed £30 million for qualifying for the group stage. Is that not the possible total accumulation if you win the entire tournament?

Definitely travelled. My mate met him and the team and sent me a pic of him and Brown this morning from the airport. What a load of bollocks those stories were.

I thought the extra money was TV rights due to the BT Sport deal.

BT TV deal takes it to just under £15m, with bonuses for games played and with money from ticket sales it's there or thereabouts.

Have a look on here about the breakdown http://www.totalsportek.com/money/uefa-champions-league-prize-money/

Now we would get handed between 12-15 million for just making it in, that's not even including the games we have won already and including our tickets ect for these play off games.

Now take into account if we qualify and add our ticket prices on top of that and points as well, we could possibly get more than 30 million, but we don't get it handed to us in a lump sum like a few people think.

£10m for playing in the group stages
    £6m TV money
£8m in Ticket Sales (3 x 58,000 sell outs on average £33 per ticket per match and corporate sales)
    £1.5m if you win playoff

£25.5m that's not including the £1m per win in group stage or £350k per draw and no merchansiding so I could see how he got to £30m

    £10m participation
    £6m TV money
    £8m ticket money
    £1.5m for beating Malmo
£2m say you win 2 group games (based on comp)
    £700k for a draw

    Total

£28.2m then your sales on the match nights easily £30m:50:

You get the play off money as well do you not? Not like £2m quid, then money from ticket sales and extra if you win?

Yeah we get £1.5m approx. for beating malmo plus we had the ticket money and TV rights from previous 2 rounds Stajrnan and Qarabag!

Easily generated circa £4m I would guess the now

Thought we had to pay £200k training compensation as he is under 23, I read somewhere.
