He's probably better than Blind, Cahill, Mertesacker, Koscielny and maybe Otamendi.

Smalling has really impressed me. I'd have Virgil ahead of him but I'll give Smalling the benefit of the doubt.

I still don't believe it but the way he (rightly) reacted to Ambrose's and several other * ups got me thinking that maybe, just maybe he would stay an extra 6 months for one more crack at the CL. If not, I really commend him for the passion he is showing in our qualification effort.

Probably just wishful thinking but if he really does, we should keep him and sell him at Christmas, he's second only to Broony in importance in my eyes.

If we qualify. If we don't, game over.

It would be an early Christmas present for us if we qualify and he stays till January :50:

Yeah.. One thing nobody can say about him is that he doesn't give his all or that he doesn't really care. He's always the first to run over for oal celebrations etc and, like you say, is always very passionate when guys around him are making mistakes.

He's captain material in the future in my opinion. Obviously not at us.

I suggest you have a coffee & clear your brain as should a few others,
rewind it again to the corner coming in.
Are you with me so far, watch their player run straight into block vvd as the ball is in the air (a cute & planned move) as you the ref & quite a few tadgers on here didn't see it.

Get back to me when you see it:50:

Celtic transfer talk announced on FB that a bid has been accepted but negotiations wont occur until next Wed or Thur.

LOL, he ran away from where the ball fell, he is the nearest defender to Berget, so guess the tadgers might have been right. :smiley-laughing002:

He was marking the area that the ball fell in, so I suggest you have a coffee, guess the rest could be a problem.

Summer norven is spot on , he got blocked as he was moving to head the ball. It isn't hard to watch highlights of the goal to see it.

He shouldn't have been going for it in the first place, the ball fell where he should've been.

As you've quite rightly stated, it isn't hard to watch the highlights.

VVD is marking someone already and behind him is Berget on the goalie, he moves and that's the space the ball falls. Watch it.

VVD is class in a glass, but please take the VVD specs off.

You didn't see the player blocking VVD off then?? If he isn't blocked he clears it. No VVD specs here I simply call it as it is.

It is sheer stupidity to suggest our players shouldn't be trying to win headers into our box from corners:bbpd:

Let Bitton win it then, VVD is running yards to a ball that he shouldn't.

In the end there's a huge space in front of a helpless Gordon and it actually makes VVD mistake even more evident as if he stays where he was - no goal.

Aye no bother " stay where you are Virgil and don't challenge for the cross coming in as it will fall 3 yards behind you and you should be there"

Are Southampton going to use the Wanyama money to buy VVD?

Reading alot of Southampton forums. Most are certain they'll get him soon (no obvious surprise), many expecting the deal to rise to £12m.

    I hope so.
