Tbh maribor Could have been his last home game and I wouldn't have blamed him for it.

 

Maybe if we don't get offered his true value which has to be £15m approx then the club won't sell him until January because they know they'll still get the same price if it's lower? That is if we make it to the UCL.

 

Honestly we will be lucky to keep him till January as things stand. Can't see him being hear in may no chance of that.

 

This guy is so full of himself, he will get found out in a top league, I know it's a team game but we have conceded so many goals in Europe since he joined and at fault again for Malmo's second.

 

With the possibility of Virgil being sold and Lustig possibly out long term, again.

These defensive options don't fill me with much confidence at all... Especially the back ups.

I had post like that wrote up an hour ago it was just to depressing to submit.

 

True.. It's * to think about, really need that CL cash to bring in a few decent defensive players.. That back up defence looks awful.

 

They both look awful . Only hope is janko turns into a good player and we sign a good centre back to replace Virgil , then as much as I want to get rid of him competition for Izzy would be so helpful.

Wouldn't make the defence good but would certainly help it.

 

I really don't want him to go but struggle with the idea that we 'make' him stay and he loses his mojo.....great player with fantastic composure.

 

Very tempting to have your family financially secure in 10 years. Has to be done really, just hope he finds a team who will let him roam

Was our best player for me last night by some distance.

Although the 2nd goal was his fault and ultimately may cost us a CL place.

 

The second goal was kind of his fault but as Harston said it's a difficult one to criticise him for, he was just so desperate to get the ball. I won't begrudge him going at all, it is obvious he is head and shoulders above the other players in our team, he must get frustrated at times.

I don't think VVD was at fault for the 2nd-he saw the ball and did what any good defender would do -stick the nut on it. I really think Malmo were very lucky last night. We could have done them 4-1. Let us do them in Sweden

 

It might be nothing, but I watched the game last night in the pub with Ronny's mom and her friends and one of them said he wanted to stay.

 

Here's me thinking booze is expensive in Norway as well.

I strongly believe that when he does move on, he'll easily be one of the best centre halves in England. He's better than John Stones currently anyway, and there's only 3 years between them.

 

He can play for any of the top boys in EPL, fk this Southampton, Everton pish, he can play in Man U, Man C, Chelsea and Arsenal easily, not one of those teams has a better 2 players than him in the centre of their defence.
