To be honest. I was sure he would leave last season when we never qualified for the champions league. I was then sure he would be off in January.. So to get another year from him was brilliant and I won't be to sad if he does end up leaving.

The weird thing about him is, he's said he wants to leave (supposedly) to the media yet on the pitch he is angry if we concede a goal and ecstatic when we score. *, he even celebrated like Larsson with his tongue out when Boyata scored against Qarabag and was the first to run over to celebrate with him. This makes me get my hopes up a little and makes me think he might stay but I'm probably clutching at straws a bit.

Any desire he might have to leave would never be due to being a *, or stupid terms like prima donna. It would purely be because Scottish football is such a low standard of football to play in every week. His attitude had been fantastic since his debut, I love the guy.

I rewinded and watched it again. As you should.

He was all alone, jumped on Bitton and pressed him out of his duell...

He was brilliant tonight. Anyone see how frustrated he was with Ambrose at the end there? ..

They were actually man marking him in our build up play, you could see their striker was always close to Van Dijk, which left Boyata in acres of space having to start out our play from the back.

Played quite well but kept heading it into dangerous areas around our box.

Our defence is going to be laughable when he goes.

Mate I am absolutely terrified for us when he goes. We're not great defensively already in Europe. When he's sold, ugh, I don't want to imagine it..

Could be worse. We could be Basel. Conceded 96 for 2-2. I think we are well suited to counter attack football and will win.

    This.
He told players off on a few occaisions for poor use of the ball and poor decisions deep in our own half.
His composure and class will be hard to replace.

Going to miss the big guy.
I reckon Tuesday may be the last time to see him in a Celtic top.
Feels like * your missus for the last time before she moves back to France to go to Uni.

Watching tonight makes you understand why he'd want to leave, he literally has to baby sit Izaguirre beside him at times and you could see him going * mad when Ambrose let a man get past him so easily. Must be so frustrating for him playing with players that are so inferior to him.

Does anyone else think he would stay for one more season if we got through to the group stages next week?

It's no secret that he wants top level football. Whilst we can't provide that for him domestically, the chances of him going to another club who would be in the CL group stages this season are slim.

Southampton? Everton? They have a more competitive league than us due to a vast financial advantage, granted, but we're a far bigger club and can potentially offer proper Champions League football until at least December.
