Gone are the days of getting ripped off. Ki, Hooper, Forster and the highest ever sale for a Scottish based player wanyama, prove this. We can now say, 12 mill or don't come asking, we're in a really good position these days, financially very shrewd..

Some * will pay what we're asking, I'm convinced. With the amount of money around Europe and particularly England, some dud club will flaunt it..

Botton half EPL clubs do pay more than £12m for players. We should aim to sell our players on to mid/top placed teams. Baring in mind the new deal comes into effect. We got £12.5m for Wanyama and we asked for £10m for Forster - Southampton paid without much hassle it seemed. I don't believe itl be hard to get £10m for VVD.

I would much rather see us at least off Van Dijk a new 4 year deal on whatever our max terms are then sell him. But for sure if we did sell him no way should we even blink before the price gets at least above 10m.

 

£12m+. We can easily get 6 with one year on his contract. If someone offers 8 it'll be knocked back. He's worth more to us for one year than just 2million.

(We sold a bench player in ki for 6million so easily double for our best player)

 

We only sold Ki for that much because he done well in the olympics.

 

Absolutely no chance of him signing another contract at Celtic. Our ceiling wage is probably around the £25k a week mark, which he could double going to the EPL. He'll go but only for the right price.

You can't really blame him for wanting to leave though? He is on the up in his career, we know it and he knows it.

Fans need to make a distinction that foreign players dont have any ties to the club other than a pay packet.

Yeah I seen that. He wants to move its all in the game. He is under contract for two years though. There is nothing in it for us to sell him now. Deadline day is the correct time.

This. He's been pretty consistent and honest about it and tbf we want to make money on him too. As long as he stays for the qualifiers we should have no complaints.

One big thing Virg, you still have 2 years on your deal so guess what unless Pedro and Ronny say your leaving shut yer hole tell yer agent to shut his hole and get on with it! Good Lad
