    How about this for a change why don't we just keep our best player instead of flogging him off for 10 million and no more like previous players who say they don't mind staying here and are not looking to go elsewhere... Get another season or two under him and then flog him for even more or at that the 10 million that was offered previously it's a win win!!!

    But the usual board will just go for the pound signs

    The only thing I think he need to work on is his Ariel flight I think a man like that should be looking to put a header towards goal every time a ball I swung in the box

    Anybody see the training video put up today. Hes just brilliant in it ,doesn't seem like a man that wants away. Him and denayer are the best of pals by the looks of it.

    When somebody's playing like Van Dijk has been lately and all you can say is that he wants an imaginary move to Man City, I'll take issue.

    We should break the structure to sign him to a longer deal. At least try.

    * the "it'll upset the harmony" bullshit, the players probably know the guy is a class above so he should rightly be one of it not the highest earner in the squad.

    I would break the structure for him as well, in realistic terms its going to be an absolute nightmare trying to replace him and I would say judging by the videos he is at home here and is happy enough so a decent contract could see him stay.

    Looking in these videos also I would say the spirit in our team at the moment looks fantastic, we have a very good group of players who seem to all get on keeping that together and adding to it could be key to us having success and improving, and I heard a lot of rumours about John Collins being an * hole and overly strict he actually looks to me like he has a great relationship with the players and looks like he is a fun guy to have around.

    The thing is i don't think offering him 30 or even 40 grand a week would be enough to keep him here, even the lower placed EPL clubs could probably offer him double that, i know it's a real * but he'll be offski in the summer.
