That has to be a wind up when they must know they will get him no problem for half of that. Personally think anything around £8 million is a good offer.

The guy is good but I don't think he has been that great for us especially in Europe, not to the same standard as Wanyama anyway.

If it's £8 million or more the Celtic PLC Board will flog him, I would flog him for £5 million as I don't think he is so great.

I'm like you Sean, these feckers down south they think they can can come up here & cherry-pick our best players for wallies. VVD is without doubt a class player, and can only become a better player the more experience he gets. I hope if & when a move is made for him, we don't let him go for £10m or something like that. I hope we stand firm and tell whoever his suitors are, the starting bid starts at £15m. :50:

    20 million :56:

Just as funny as the Kris Commons to West Brom for 7 million in the summer rumour.

Seriously.... Why would they offer £20m when they KNOW our club will accept £10m.....

    It's absolute nonsense

VIRGIL VAN DIJK’S agent last night admitted the Dutchman could quit Celtic next month.
Hoops boss Ronny Deila had claimed the stopper would snub English big guns to stay at Parkhead.

But agent Henk-Maarten Chin revealed there is big interest in £8million-rated van Dijk.

Celtic signed van Dijk, 23, from Groningen for just over £2m around 18 months ago.

Chin said: “Virgil has a good relationship with the manager. Therefore he will give his all for Celtic.

“But when interesting clubs either from the Premier League or other major leagues make an offer, you wouldn’t turn them down immediately, would you?’

“Are clubs preparing a bid? There is a lot of interest. It could become a busy winter. Virgil is ambitious.”

Van Dijk is not the only Hoops defender who could be on the move.

SunSport understands Bolton boss Neil Lennon is lining up a summer swoop for Charlie Mulgrew.

The former Hoops gaffer is already plotting a deal to sign Kris Commons.

And now he’s set to test Celtic’s resolve to hang on to Mulgrew, whose current Hoops contract runs until the summer of 2016.

He will go for a minimum £10mil as there are just too many clubs wanting him and that'll bump the price up.

10 should be the least amount we sell for.dont think any teams going to pay 20 million that sounds like bullshit.but you never know in the janaury transfer window teams usaully pay inflated prices.arsenal are desperate for defenders at the minute and a bid of 14 million wouldnt surpise me,as its small change to them.

He's not worth £10m. £8m I would bite yer hand off.

Not the player he was in his first season.

Good buisness, and that's the way it is develop 2m players to 5m+

We know it's coming let's make sure we've got a plan to replace him..

One thing for sure he'll be trying to grab the headlines tonight..

That's it, and if needs be. We all knew VVD wouldn't be here long term, but hopefully he sticks to end of season. But at 10m, snap their hands off, go and spend another 2-3million on a replacement (make it two) and still have a few million to invest elsewhere in the team/club.

VVD sale of a decent price should be enough to fix the backline. Sales of potential Forrest/Commons/Derk should be enough to bring in a decent wide man to play on the right. Job sorted.

I think sometimes this guy gets the whole "He's overrated, thinks he's better than he is" * every so often, But tonight he was sensational I thought. So commanding, we'll miss him when he leaves.
