Well * me I can see us selling him and bringing in some 250k quid Israeli or South Korean hack who couldn't mark a striker if he was in front of his nose to replace him.. Board rakes in 10 mil off Van Dijk. Its sad the way things are going its so predictable its not even funny.

I'd be looking for more money than we got for Wanyama, so £15M or no ta.

Van Dijk will need to get use to interesting the big English teams and then moving to a small team like Southampton like Wanyama.

Since they became a contender and won the league. What else would they be?

An English club with a lot of moneybthat challenges for their league? Not exactly a giant.

Get him sold. We must make sure the balance sheet is sorted for the next 356 million years.

What would you consider a giant? A club with history? They are making their history as we speak. I don't like them but at the moment they are a giant in European football. They can attract almost any player they want albeit with money, European football and the Premier League.

That certainly fits my criteria for a football giant. I'm confused at why people disagree.

A giant in European football who has reached the last 16 once aince the Champions Leagues conception? Nah, they're not a 'giant' yet. They're a traditionally small club with a lot of money.

    Financial Giant maybe.

The term used was "English giant" which they surely are.

Not even sure of that, I mean Liverpool's not one * all for ages and I'd say they are bigger than Man City? There's no doubt they will be a giant, right now I'll still settle for financial giant.

Doubt this is true and we'd surely hold out for a bigger price than that anyway?

With 3 and a half years left we surely would. I hope we can hold onto him until at least after next season.

I'll give you financial giant, haha. They are well on their way to being giants and having a great history. But true, they have a lot to do yet.
