Would rather see an Ambrose - Mulgrew partnership on Wednesday.

I think he could do a job for us tbh, needs to stop giving away silly fouls.

Going to take time to adapt to Scottish football but he is very composed on the ball.

Looks decent for a young centre half having played little football this year. Going to be a good signing.

How I feel about him, he needs a few games to adapt, people jumping the gun calling him * ect, are idiots.

As some have said, a lot to learn, but so did Kelvin and a few others. He has some good traits about him, I reckon come the end of the season he will be one of the first names on the team sheet. Just need to find him a partner. Mulgrew is a shout for it, if Lennon can stop playing him at left mid!!!

Jeez, give the lad a chance :31:

(That means a good number of games not half a dozen)

Look at how Kelvin did in his second season :86:

Looks the type who wants to get his head up and play it from the back, once he gets a few games under his belt and adapts to our game I think he will be a cracking asset to the squad

Ironic thing is, he's been one of the better players as well yet still get's more abuse than others.

I actually thought he has played quite well.. He's very composed. His positioning doesn't look great though.

Aside from Kelvin Wilson I am not sure that John Park etc know how to scout good defenders. :54:

I bet you said the same in Kelvin Wilsons first season, when he was dodgy.

Give the new guys time, for * sake!"!!!

I knew that he had quite a good reputation behind him at Nottingham Forrest and needed time to gel in. I dont really know much about Dutch football (I've never even seen a FC Groningen game) so I'll be honest I dont know much as much about Virgil. But I rank the Championship in competitiveness miles ahead of the Eredivisie. The eredivisie has a reputation as being kind of a mickey mouse league. No wonder they thought he would be a good fit up in in Scotland :54:

I'm sure the likes of ajax would find it real competitive against the likes of yeovil town:56:

You think that that the annual tournament between Ajax and Feyenoord is more competitive than the Championship? Seriously?

They have clubs of the same calibre. Heracles Almelo.

PSV, AZ Alkmaar, Ajax, FC Twente, Utrecht and Feyenoord. That's 6 Dutch teams better than any in the championship.
